Would it force people to buy pirated copies from organized criminals? Wouldn't it be safer and easier to just buy official copies from the store?
I wonder if it actually cost the industry that much money? I know it's had a financial impact, for sure. Wow, that's a lot of money!
People definitely need to be held accountable for their actions. The world we live in today doesn't seem to want to accept personal responsibility as a reason for anything. It's always about blaming someone or something else.
Maybe. If Kinect was actually a console, right? Too bad it's just a controller.
I guess you should never pass up a good opportunity for some trolling, right Meryl?
Only one of those things is something that I hate. And all consoles are guilty of it. I don't know of a single console that ships with anything other than a composite cable. The Wii I can see because it isn't HD, but the 360 and PS3 really have no excuse since HD is a selling point for them.
Indeed, my friend.
If both systems would drop to $199 I'd buy one of each to replace my current systems. I like the looks of both, and I'd really like them to generate less heat.
I can understand that. Trust takes a lifetime to build, but only a moment to destroy.
Ooh, listwars! How childish.
"I'm going to create a list to tell you how stupid you are for not thinking the way that I do!"
And what's best about it is that you don't even have to tell the truth, provide proof or even make sense at all to play listwars!
But seriously, having a disc tray makes games absolutely no fun at all. And having an external power supply just drains the enjoyment right out of my games. And the fa...
I don't exactly recall Twisted Metal ever really being a graphical powerhouse. And so what if the new Twisted Metal isn't the most graphically impressive game? As long as the mindlessly fun destruction is there then I'm sold.
They called it like they see it.
What I don't get is that Microsoft addressed many of the issues and glitches that people were complaining about like noise, overheating and built-in wireless and people still aren't happy. I guess it's hard to break the habit when you've been hating on something for so long.
I think the console is a nice update, but that's me.
The only glitch I've seen so far is people freezing in their tracks when I kill them instead of falling down dead.
I'm not so sure that the Wii is anywhere close to market saturation. If that were the case we would have seen huge drops in monthly sales and we haven't. Also, if the size of the video game market were capped at around the Wii install base the PS2 would have stopped selling ages ago.
I think the Wii still has a lot of room to grow.
After they released the control patch Lair became a really enjoyable game.
I really haven't played the other games, so I can't comment on them. MAG got a lot of positive buzz, though.
Doom, doom, doom...these articles are getting so old now. I'm so tired of seeing this "because I don't like it nobody else will, either" junk popping up all over.
The good old nickel and dime model. I don't see why it's such a big deal. We've been getting hit with it all generation long in the form of DLC and having to pay extra for content that already lives on the disc. Having to pay $5 to get the cool extra maps that your friends are playing, a couple of bucks to unlock that really cool costume. And people just eat it up.
Please, people have been using stupid pricewars comparison lists like this for years to try to justify their fanboy position. Always baking in the cost of some nice to have, but not necessary, peripheral or service to say that their console has the better price.
But you know what? None of that stuff matters. There are plenty of people who are just fine without wifi or Xbox Live on their 360's because they don't play online. There are plenty of people who didn't bu...
Yep. All of this stuff is expensive. Especially when you're buying for more than one player. Nobody knows for sure how much Kinect is really going to cost since it hasn't been formally announced yet. But if the current rumors hold true Microsoft is in a different position considering you don't have to spend more money with each player that you add. You can't say that about Wii or Move.
In the end, though, it doesn't matter. I'm not sure that either Kin...
I'm not saying I don't believe it. I just wonder if piracy would not have been possible if it would have been $41 billion in publishers' pockets.
