I would have much more preferred they spend the money to make it the greatest game of all time. Not that it isn't a good game. It just didn't live up to the hype, in my opinion.
Well done, Sony! There's no time to rest. Now keep those games flowing...
That's terrible.
I'm not upset with EB at all. But Microsoft shouldn't have to cover their losses from a warranty program that was in competition with Microsoft's own. It isn't FUD, it's fact. Every single 360 that suffers RROD is covered by Microsoft for another 11 months. EB should have been directing their customers to send them to Microsoft instead of taking them as an exchange.
They gambled and they lost. I don't see any other side to this.
I don't understand why people take internet tough guys seriously. Ignore the guy and move on.
My guess is that email address probably has the best SPAM filtering in the world. Not to mention that it is estimated that he gets four million emails a day. Good luck spamming that one.
I don't feel all that bad for EB here. They decided to gamble by offering extended warranties and they lost. Lesson learned, I guess.
Actually Bill Gates' email address has been well-known for quite a while. I'm sure that he has a team of people that do nothing but read his email for him, but that's how you can get to him.
There are two completely different motherboard configurations and Sony wants just one. I'm thinking that it is mostly a cost reduction move.
Pretty cool update.
There's more to Sony and Microsoft than just video games.
Seems to me that the target price points should be $299 for the 40gb model and $399 for whatever the new model is. A price difference of $200 for just increased HD space doesn't make sense when you can get a 160gb drive for less than that.
Adding and removing features is one of Sony's standard operating procedures, so I don't see why anyone should be surprised. It's a risk that gamers take when they adopt earlier rather than later. Progressive scan was added to the PS2 after millions of people bought one without it. The PSP had a RAM increase and TV output added to new models, leaving earlier adopters out in the cold for some new features. Card readers and BC were completely removed from the new version of the PS3. So I don't s...
I guess the damage modeling argument could go either way. GT is a driving simulator more than a racing simulator, so I could see where the creators would not place an emphasis on body damage. It would add to the realism of the game if it were there, though.
I wonder if the licenses from the car manufacturers prevent them from showing damage on the cars?
Gran Turismo is good, but I don't see GT5 Prologue being as critical as some of the other franchises out there. That's just my opinion, though. I won't be buying it because I'm more of an arcade racer fan, but I hope that those who enjoy Gran Turismo have a lot of fun with this.

Anyone who goes to Target to buy video games knows about GTA IV preorders. They have tons of $10 preorder cards for both the 360 and PS3. And Gamestop has it up on the preorder board. Everyone who plays games knows about GTA IV preorders.
That article failed to answer its own question. Which one really sold more?
I really just want The Force Unleashed. I'll buy GTA IV, but that's not going to be as good to me as The Force Unleashed.
I always buy rechargeable batteries. They may cost more up-front, but they quickly pay for themselves.
