Regardless of who had the largest slice of the pie, gamers won in 2007. It was an awesome year for games!
If the differences are only slight graphical issues then why should the PS3 version score higher? Graphics are only one criteria for scoring. The fact that the 360 version has the ability to have custom soundtracks and the PS3 version does not easily makes up for the graphical issues that the review mentions. Since the gameplay is said to be identical I think that it sounds right.
Who even complained about a PS3 failure rate? Seems to me like you brought it up.
If I had as much wealth as a lot of those guys at Microsoft I would be riding off into the sunset, too. That's the difference between Bill Gates and me. The moment the company became worth billions I would have sold my stake and retired forever.
I've still got my original copy. Man I love this game.
Xbox 720? Who wrote this junk?
Aw, man! That sucks!
I read for about 30 seconds. Then I forgot how to read. That's how stupid that made me.
It has all of the classic signs of faked pictures. Blurry, out of of focus shots at some weird angle.
Good try I guess.
Well, it's more than just the RGB and super-white stuff. There's all of the DVD and Blu-ray playback options to configure, too. I spent some quality time with trying to get the best out it.
To be fair, it really shouldn't be so complicated to configure the PS3's display settings. I spent hours tinkering with mine to get the picture the way I wanted it. I don't understand why it needs to be so time consuming.
I've used Full RGB since I got my PS3. It darkens the picture a bit, but the trade-off is worth it. My question is why Sony doesn't have it turned on by default?
The thing is that third-party developer support is what traditionally supports the platform. I guess that in this generation things are shaking out a bit differently, but that third-party support is still going to be important.
That's just one game. It shows that COD4 has universal appeal, but it doesn't prove much else.

All I know is that I'm not paying another dime for Xbox Live until they get this worked out. I have the free month that they sent me with my repair that I won't use until I know that I can use it.
Those prices are going to move players to the uninformed that doesn't know about studio support for each format. That's really a shame. I think that at this point Blu-ray is going to become the HD disc format and support for HD-DVD is going to dwindle. What's so sad to me is that you can get a really good upscaling DVD player for about half the price of the cheapest priced HD-DVD player, so that's really not even an incentive to buy one.
I'm glad I have a PS3. If the 360's play...
All 3 systems are winners. If they weren't I would not have purchased all three. I do think that so far the 360 has the better selection of games, but this past holiday introduced some real winners into the PS3's lineup. I really like Uncharted and Heavenly Sword. I'm very happy as a gamer right now.
You don't lose all of your stuff that you paid for. I did have to download some stuff again, but that was pretty painless.
Stuff breaks, sometimes it is inconvenient. But it isn't the end of the world.
When I got my 360 back all I had to do was download the stuff I had again and it all worked fine when I wasn't signed in to Xbox Live. It took all of 5 seconds per item.
