I see what you're saying. I think that anyone interested in this game that owns both consoles should download the demo on each and do their own side-by-side comparisons.

Sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying.

I had not been tracking this game at all. It looks good.

I'm more worried about what's going to happen if my PS3 or Wii go belly-up once they're out of warranty. My 360 is covered for an additional 2 years for RROD because I was able to purchase a service contract for it.

I've had mixed luck with my past consoles. When my PS2 died after it went out of warranty I faced this. Luckily I've never had issues with Nintendo hardware.

I work in software development and I couldn't agree more. I've worked with all sorts of third-party tools. Once you're done with proof of concept and you're ready to start developing the version that you'll release to production you have to be careful about making changes to the components that are providing your primary workflow. It seems strange to me that they would continually merge changes into the engine while development is in progress. That's something that you should only do if there...

What do you mean by "keep buying this crap" when RROD repairs are free?

My 360 had RROD and they sent me a refurbished one. I'm going to make someone customer service rep's life miserable if I get it again.

The guy with the broken system probably cares deeply about the issue.

Dude, the HD-DVD add-on is the worst cost comparison strawman argument there is. You would have had a better argument with the cost of Live or by stating the relative insignificance of rumble in a game like Burnout.

I've spent time comparing the demos for the 360 and PS3. As far as I can tell the games are pretty much identical as far as gameplay in the demos is concerned. In my opinion the PS3 is a bit shinier, but I think that the sound on the 360 had a bit of an edge. One the same television, switching between the two inputs, the sound was a bit more pronounced from the 360. That could be because the PS3 was running via HDMI and the 360 is component (mine was made before HDMI was available), I don't k...

I know what you mean, EasilyTheBest. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a PS2 at launch and it got the DRE problem 4 months in. At that time the PS2 had a 90 day warranty and Sony didn't cover the problem. They wanted $150 to repair it with no warranty on the repair. So, to protect my game library, I bought a brand new one.

I think that a lot of the gamers on this and many other sites are too young to remember the problems that Sony had with their PlayStation and PS2 lasers....

Sega isn't as awesome as they once were, but I don't think that irrelevant is the right word. For a company with so many awesome franchises they sure haven't been doing with them what they could be. I'm still trying to figure out what happened with that last Sonic title.

Not really. It only sold about 120,000 copies on the 360. I don't know. Fighters have always been one of my favorite genres, but I've never really liked Virtua Fighter. At least not since Tekken and Soul Blade on the PlayStation.

My personal preference is that Soul Calibur is where it's at. I'm really looking forward to Soul Calibur 4.

Yep, the fact that this guy has a broken PS3 is clear evidence that he is just a 360 fanboy waiting on his Xbox to be returned. Your powers of deduction are truly amazing, rawd.

This is one PS3 that is broken, but it isn't the only PS3 that has broken. The Playstation forums have plenty of evidence of that. But there still aren't as many broken PS3's as there are broken 360's out there.

It is good to be able to see one of the indications of a PS3 failure. This is the first video I've seen.

I never rely on video on the Internet to make a judgement call on a game. Most of it is compressed so that it can be streamed and it isn't always an accurate representation of the game. You can get a general idea of how it looks in motion, but it definitely has limitation.

Uncharted does have great graphics. And it is a great game, too. I don't think that Gears of War really compares, but I do think that BioWare is giving it a run for it's money with Mass Effect. Mass Effect's environments aren't as lush, but it isn't set in a tropical jungle, either.

I do think that as of right now Uncharted definitely has the edge graphically, but I think that the best is still yet to come for both consoles.

@HarryEtTubMan - If you would drop the constant "Xbot" fanboy banter and make reasonable posts you would have 4 or 5 bubbles in no time.

@ddldave - I didn't know that HDMI reduces screen tearing. I still notice it in Uncharted and in Assassin's Creed with HDMI. Are you saying that it would be worse if I used component?

I think that it is more games than Blu-ray, but I think that the fact that PS3 can play Blu-ray discs pushes those people that like games but also want HD movies to the PS3. That $25 bluetooth remote was well worth what I paid for it when it comes to watching movies on the PS3.
