I forgot about Sony jumping into damage control mode because of the Lair reviews. Kind of takes the wind out of the sails of people saying that Sony would never do this.
I agree about achievements and gamerscore. Those things add replay value to games if implemented correctly. I sort of hope that Sony does implement something similar.
What a stupid article. You really have to want to be offended I guess.
I'm sure the legal reasons have more to do with import tariffs than anything else. Censorship probably isn't as much of the issue.
All I know is that mine got RROD right before Christmas and it sucked.
Now if they could pull that trick off for the 40gb model owners it would really be news.
I wonder why he really left Sony?
Sounds like Kojima is still kicking his hype machine into full gear. He better deliver 100% on this game, because with all of the moaning and other eccentric behaviors he's been displaying he hasn't left himself any room for error.
At this stage of the game the 360 and PS3 appear to be pretty evenly matched. I'm pretty impressed all around.
A game that takes a person who does nothing buy play games 5 hours to beat will probably take me weeks.
I own half of the games on that list.
What's too little, too late? This is a fire sale. They're not trying to get people to adopt the HD-DVD format.
I think what he's saying is that he'd buy it to reduce the wear on the 360's internal DVD drive by using the add-on to watch DVD's. However, you can get a stand-alone DVD player for less than $50 and accomplish the same goal.
I think it will make a good collector's item.
It's only natural. If HD-DVD is dead why would Microsoft continue to produce add-on drives? Microsoft hasn't harmed any customers. They say they'll continue to offer support to the customers who have the drives, and nobody forced anyone to buy the add-on.
I agree that the PS3 will last 10 years. But they'll introduce the next one sooner. The PS1 lived for a few years after the PS2 launch, and the PS2 will last for a while after the PS3 launch. The next one will probably be out in another 5 or 6 years with the PS3 being the budget model to bring in revenue while the new one ramps up.
I just want the game to come out.
It really does do a good job of DVD upscaling.
Looks like Blu-ray early adopters are nearly as screwed as HD-DVD owners. I'm glad I have a PS3.
No. Because LittleBigPlanet is just one game, and users have to work within the framework and boundaries that the developers give them. XNA is a software development platform that allows people to create whatever they want to. Huge difference.
Skynet is now online.
