Just because you never used the features doesn't mean that nobody uses those features. People who were the first customers lose out on the features that profile 2.0 offers. Makes me wonder why people become early adopters, anyway.
I always check out the special features. I like the documentaries, especially.
If I had paid $600 or more for a first generation Blu-ray player and then I found out that after such a short time that I couldn't use the latest features of the platform I would be pretty ticked off.
Very interesting information.
The time was right for me last June.
I guess Nintendo would drop the price of the Wii if they were having trouble selling them, right?
There isn't a need for a class-action lawsuit. Microsoft admitted the problem and fixes every one that fails with the general hardware failure for free. It's when a company doesn't admit the problem and offer to do the right thing that a lawsuit is necessary.
And recalls typically only happen when the product is dangerous. There's no proof of danger to anyone.
I have a 360, a PS3 and a Wii. Not having to feel insecure about my console choice is a great thing.
Bubbles for you!
My 360 lasted 19 months before it got RROD. My second one has been going for 3 months problem-free. So I don't know where you get this every four weeks stuff.
That's what I said.
Works at least until the next firmware update, right?
Microsoft is being held responsible for their hardware. They're holding themselves responsible and fixing every console that gets RROD for three years. That's the best warranty on the market right now. And they've gone as far as giving you an extra two years for RROD if you purchased the two year service contract from them. I wish Sony and Nintendo offered a service contract like Microsoft does.
I think Nintendo has the best service for in-warranty repairs. After that it is Micr...
Retailers aren't really discounting this stuff. Best Buy has tons of HD-DVD movies for $30-$35, just like they always have. Same for Target. I'm guessing that they're trying to milk as much from HD-DVD as they can.
No way I'm putting a mod chip into the PS3 I paid $500 for. For any reason.
I've never had a bad experience with Microsoft customer service. When I got RROD they took care of me. Sure it is annoying when a console breaks, but I also have a Wii and a PS3 to keep my family entertained.
I think for most people being without a console is a minor inconvenience. The ones who seem to be the most outraged are the people who don't even own one. It's no secret that the 360 has the highest failure rate, but all consoles have some percentage of defects. There are pe...
I think it's funny that anyone ever listens to this Michael Pachter guy.
This is not a big deal.
The PSP may be selling well, but for the most part it has lacked killer apps. Developers just do not give it the attention that it deserves. They really never have.
I've had my PSP for a long time and there just haven't been many awesome games released. There have been some pretty good ones, but only a hand full of really great games. It needs more games the caliber of Olympus, IMO.
Maybe because it's only been two weeks? I don't know, just a guess.
Microsoft isn't exiting the market at the current price point. This generation has just started. It's funny how everyone's saying the 360 is finished when it currently has twice the user base and three times the software sales of the PS3. This is the perfect time for Microsoft to drop the price of the system to attract new users.
I believe that the PS3 is going to sell more systems in this generation. But so far I don't see there being a loser. If Microsoft manages to become prof...
This game is going to sell well. The real winner is going to be Rockstar since it is going to sell a boatload across both systems.
