I never rush right out and install the latest firmware. I always wait to see what problems people report and whether it gets addressed by Sony. I hate that updates like 3.10 are mandatory installs, so I'll be offline for another week or so. But better safe than sorry.
Development may not be all that early. Just because they aren't talking about it doesn't mean that they aren't doing it. It's already been 4 years for the 360 and 3 for the PS3. There are ideas on the table to be sure.
I don't think that anyone forgets that Sony has 3 systems out there. The PS2 outsold both the 360 and PS3 for much of the last 3 years.
I'm willing to bet that Amazon is not where most people buy their game consoles. Just saying is all.
So registered accounts are what's counted as users? I think it would be interesting to see some statistics around how many unique logins per day there are and how the usage looks over time, particularly when big titles are released. That sort of thing has always interested me.
I'd figure that racing sim fans would want both games, not limit their experience to one or the other. I know that I would want both games if I were a fan of sim racers. It isn't like they come along that often.
I got my hands on one of these yesterday for a couple of hours. It's a cool gadget, but the screen is too small compared to my original PSP. Even with $50 worth of free stuff I don't think it's worth it.
Shortages of hardware at launch? For what? Two weeks? The supply chain was thoroughly replenished by Christmas, preventing people from making huge second-hand profits like they did with the PS2. The PS3 was not supply constrained like the Wii and 360 were.
So the results are a based on self-selection, which by its very nature is biased since there is no control. And here we have a bunch of people bellowing "I knew it! I knew it!"
Sad.
Nice!
You mean mopping the floor with everyone except Nintendo, right?
LittleBigPlanet isn't exactly the pinnacle of gameplay. There are much better platformers available if you want to look at it from a pure gameplay perspective.
You have to admit that there was considerable complaining on this very site as franchises like Final Fantasy and Tekken were announced for the 360. I'm not saying that I agree with the article, but games that called PlayStation home for more than a decade are going multiplatform. Granted that's as much to do with the need for third parties to be able to generate as much revenue as possible, but it does eliminate some of the PlayStation brand's distinguishing titles.
People only want to get rid of comparisons when they don't favor their system of choice.
I'm going to get the PS3 version. I have the first one for PS3 and I don't think the second one would feel right to me if I got it on the 360.
No doubt.
LoadingReality's just trying to get hits for his site. Just like HipHopGamer does.
There should be more mutual respect. Bubbles, Maximus.
The reason for modding an XBox to begin with is to get free games. Modders can still get free games, they just can't play online. Having your box banned isn't going to suddenly turn you honest and send you to the store for a new PS3 where you'll start paying full price for games and stocking up on Blu-ray movies. Especially when they modded because they didn't want to spend money.
This turned out to be a giant flamewar after all. The article wasn't pure Sony bashing, and folks who think it was probably didn't read it. It was well-sourced and brought legitimate complaints to light. It even asked for feedback asking for reader opinion. However, the people who want to believe that it is impossible for the PSN to ever have problems just can't believe it.
Personally I feel that the PSN is the slowest network of the three. It takes longer for me to download cont...
