I haven't seen many people comment about wanting this game for either platform. So no, not many people happy it's coming to 360, too.
Yeah, we're 4 years in. The "next gen" moniker needs to be replaced with "current gen" as we await the goodies that will be coming in the next round of consoles.
First I've heard of this game. But I don't follow shooters all that much. I'd rather like to see more games remain console exclusive, but as this generation goes on it looks like the only exclusives that can be counted on are first party games.
After the letdown of the Halo 3 single player campaign I haven't touched the franchise since. I doubt this makes me change my mind.
We can always hope.
Not to mention that if it failed a week later you could just return it to the store you bought it from. Most don't fail that quickly anyway.
My story is similar to yours. My launch 360 got RROD after 18 months and the replacement is going strong. I can see maybe a very small percentage of owners sending it back more than twice, but all of the "my friend's cousin's neighbor went through 8 of them" stories should always be taken with a grain of salt. I'd hate to see the conditions they play in.
It only makes sense that models purchases within the last year are more reliable. They don't have the heat issues that earlier models had due to smaller, more efficient chips, redesigned cooling systems and rework to the motherboard.
Everyone knows that Microsoft had egg on their face for RROD. But they handled it well by fixing them for free. Can we just move on now?
This is one of the dumbest flamebait articles ever. Will the idiots ever run out of things to argue over?
Using the standard def A/V cable is not a good way to form an opinion of Blu-ray movies. The difference will be night and day assuming you are hooking up to an HDTV.
Um, if it isn't announced then how can it be delayed? Who publishes release dates for things that haven't been announced?
I've had a good run with PlayStation. Ups and downs with launch hardware, that's for sure. I guess that's the cost of early adoption. But overall it's been a great experience that I hope lasts for many more years to come.
InFamous is one of my favorites this year. Nice to see it hit that milestone.
Or the fact that it is a blog post from September of 2008.
Wow, this is pretty old! I wouldn't put much stock in this.
And what platform has official accessories that don't cost a lot? Wii remotes for $40 (throw in another $30 for a nunchuck), disposable PS3 controllers for $55 (can't change the batteries), 360 controllers for $50 (plus another $15 for a rechargeable battery pack).
None of these guys are doing us any favors.
Trophies and Achievements are pretty much the same in principle. The difference is merely in how the data is presented. Achievements that require more skill award more Gamerscore points than those that you get for just playing the game. And you can look at someone's Gamertag to see which achievements have been unlocked if you want to know what kind of player they are.
This is probably the most pointless thing that anyone could argue over around here.
All of the 360's you wasted your money on? Yeah, right. I doubt you paid for more than one, and if you did pay for more than one then it certainly isn't Microsoft's fault that you didn't learn the first time.
By the way, no viruses on Mac is a total fallacy.

That's just the active list from one anti-virus software provider. There is no such thing as an OS without...
Seriously. Anything to make Microsoft seem like a failure is bound to attract the biggest bottom-feeders this site has to offer, especially considering they don't even read the articles before postulating. Forget that Windows 7 has already captured more than 5% of the total OS market since its release.
Anyone care to guess the actual number of PC's in the wild that equates to? Anyone care to guess what percentage of the Windows 7 installed base those 50,000 represent? I'm willin...
All of the major gaming news outlets are reporting this. I doubt that it's just one site making things up.
