This guy must not have been around for the PS2 launch, because the PS3's life has shown few similarities to date.
The PS2 was severely supply constrained for months after launch. In North America the PS3 was supply constrained for about 2 weeks with adequate supply by Christmas. The ability to make "big bucks" on eBay lasted approximately 2 weeks. The PS2 was sold out everywhere for months after launch.
The PS2 had a significant DRE hardware problem that af...
Looks like there's be a whole slew of new players after Christmas. Nice!
Nice! Leaderboards!
7,022 players online. Where is everyone?
Gotta pop in Uncharted 2. BRB.
Meh, it's all speculation. As evidenced by the word "could" in the very first sentence of the gamesindustry.biz article. However, I fully expect that in the ensuing flamewar less than 1% of participants will actually read the article and nearly all comments will be based on the headline.
I wish I had the time to play through it again. I still have to finish InFamous and Uncharted 2. And once I pick up Assassins Creed 2 I doubt I ever get back to it.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii hasn't released in Japan yet.
Assuming you have a rig that can make the most of it. Just through your TV speakers you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference between lossless audio and compressed audio in the 360 version.
PS3 sales are pretty consistent. Looks like Sony made the right choice with the new model.
No different than a PSP owner picking up a PSPGo when they already have the older model or a PS3 Slim when they have the fatty. Some folks just like to upgrade.
I don't buy movies that I won't watch again. I've watched Star Trek at least 5 times since I bought it. For the $20 I paid for the Blu-ray that works out well for me. And I'll watch it many more times.
I hope that everyone that's awaiting this game enjoys it. It's looking really good.
This title was a day 1 purchase for me on Blu-ray. I've actually been buying all new releases on Blu-ray lately, especially since most (but not all) of them come with a digital copy that I can download to my iPod.
I love Rock Band, and this is one of the reasons why.
I like Guitar Hero, but Activision is so busy trying milk money out of the franchise by saturating us with games that they seem to be sacrificing quality. But that's just my opinion.
Wow, none of my consoles collect dust. But I tend to take a long time to finish games and I have four or five going at one time.
My launch 360 RROD'd after a year and a half and the replacement has been good for the last 2 and a half years. That's my experience. So in 4 years I've been without it for less than 10 days. Overall I'm happy. However my PS3 and Wii are still doing fine. Wii is launch and my PS3 is a 60GB model I bought when Sony cut the price from $599 to $499.
I do think that these websites that do their own unscientific and uncontrolled polls and then release reliability data are misleading p...
I cannot express the many levels of sadness I experienced watching the video.
I didn't say that everyone does it, nor do I condone it. But we can't put our heads in the sand and say that piracy isn't the reason that PC game revenues have been falling over the years. I guarantee there are more people playing MW2 on PC than purchased it.
Not saying it's right. Just saying how it is.
EDIT: 99% is probably a bit high, but there are a lot of people who would never have purchased the game at all. However, some people would buy more of their games i...
Or it's easier to pirate games on PC, so some people see no real reason to buy them.
Nope. I don't like it.
