Is this on now? I was going to pick it up at Best Buy tomorrow, but looks like ToysRUs for me. Good thing I had to work all weekend and didn't have time to pick up a copy.
Website shows it for $59.99, ad shows $44.99. Guess I'll check the store tomorrow.
A third-party developer that relies on revenues from sales on multiple consoles not taking sides? Are you seriously saying that Sega should stop producing games for other systems and build games only on Sony platforms?
I've been gaming for that long, too. And while visuals certainly do matter, nobody wants to have a great looking game that isn't fun to play. There are some really graphically impressive games out there that I won't play because I don't like the gameplay. If I want to see stunning visuals I'll just pop in a Blu-ray movie.
Personally, I think that it would be tough to find even an average game out there this generation, aside from maybe a movie tie-in, that doesn't have graphics b...
Please provide us some screenshots of each game so that we can do that.
Gameplay > graphics every single time. I don't mind average graphics if the gameplay is fun.
The way I see it if you own both consoles then you buy the version that you feel is better. If you own only one, you get that version. Either way, you get to play the same game.
I'm curious to see what the gameplay is like. The last Final Fantasy I liked was 8, although 7 was my favorite. If the gameplay is like those games I'll take the plunge. And I'll probably do it on my PS3.
No pictures?
I hope I don't forget about this.
As a gamer, why would any of us care how much Microsoft paid for anything as long as we get the games we want?
I haven't played the DLC. I'll probably pick up the disc version when I can get it for 20 bucks used.
When you have faith in the developer? Since when does faith in the developer make the game good? Good gameplay makes a game good. If you like it then that's all that matters.
Since when is 7 out of 10 poor? I could see saying that 3 or 4 out of 10 is poor, but 7? By most standards that's good, but not great. And good is still worth playing.
I think there are some pretty awesome visuals all around this generation. In the past year, though, nothing on consoles has touched what the PS3 is putting out.
There's a large part of this that's subjective, though. Two people are going to disagree at some point. It's like telling someone how to interpret art.
Is currently my hero. That reply was pretty awesome.
I think if they did it right a new Shenmue could really be a great thing. Think about it, it was an open-world sandbox type of game before open world sandbox games were cool.
I like the idea someone above had for re-releasing the originals in HD. If they were to also re-do some of the more rigid gameplay mechanics (moving crates in Shenmue 2 was a pain) then they could be really cool games.
Um, they don't know to restock by proactively checking inventory at retailers. They know to restock based on orders from retailers. Retailers decide what makes it into their supply chain unless demand is higher than supply, which isn't the case for consoles right now.
What probably happens is that they extrapolate the sell-through rate based on the number of orders they receive from retail and the previous numbers shipped to retail. And it is probably pretty close to accurate, be...
Yep, just comes right down to revenue.
Just as long as they make it.
/longs for Shenmue 3
I think Apple had a chance to do something really cool with this and they let it slip away. I can already do most of what they say this tablet can do on my iPod.
ToysRUs backpeddled on the Mass Effect 2 sale. They will not sell it for $44.99, although you can still get the gift card. I was so annoyed I just went to Best Buy.
