Interesting game. I'd never played it, but for free why not give it a shot? So I'm a fish-like thing that eats other fish-like things and I grow and change as I eat stuff. Is that right?
If I get this game I'll get it on PS3. But it's good to see that the 360 version's gameplay graphics haven't suffered. It's a given that the video won't be as high quality as the PS3 video.
Is Heavy Rain really a system seller? I don't see where it would be, and it would just be sad if people were buying PS3's to see digital T&A. You can see the "adult" stuff in the tons of videos online.
Supply wasn't really all that tight during the Holidays. At least not around here. There were sufficient 360's and PS3's to be had locally and online. The only console that was once again hard to find was Wii.
I wonder if they're changing the internals again? That's usually what precedes a drop in supply and Sony is always tinkering with the guts of their stuff in their never-ending attempts to lower costs.
Then why does the PS3 do so well in Europe? It isn't a European product. Just trying to figure out that logic.
Flame suit put on!
Numbers are higher all around for January than I expected, considering we just came off the holiday. I guess people were out spending the money they got as gifts or from returning stuff they didn't want.
This is a pretty good article. I don't really agree with everything in the article, and it appears to be based mostly on anecdotes. But still pretty good. If you care to know what I disagree with then keep reading, but if not that's cool too.
Repeat No. 1 - PS3 shortages were stemmed by not releasing in any more territories than the supply could handle. The first 3 weeks after release it was pretty tough to put your hands on one, but by Christmas retailers were restocked and good...
Loved the first one, repetition and all. Can't wait!
I'm looking forward to the new games. Of course I'm still playing through everything from 2009. The PS3 had a big year in 2009.
It took 4 years for them to figure out that the Xbox is dead? All kidding aside, it's a good article. The 360 has definitely outperformed the original Xbox, and even when the PS3 passes it in install base it would be hard to argue that the 360 didn't give Sony a run for their money.
Solid numbers for a solid game.
Not really a good example, but at least it isn't in that lame red/blue like the picture suggests. It'll be fun, but for some people the novelty will wear off quickly.
Apparently you forgot to look at games like Gears of War 2 and Halo 3, because those are skewed way lower than their meta scores.
Idiots on both sides of the "war" do it, not just idiots on the 360 side. Go console warriors!
Not a bad score at all.
There are more fat ones out there than slims as of yet. So not totally useless.
The only one of those I bought was Spiderman 3. Which wasn't really that bad of a game. It didn't set the world on fire, but I've played games much worse than that.
You actually went there, didn't you stewgart. lol Bubbles!
Talk about having to use some imagination.
Oh, and OmegaSlayer...before you jump to conclusions about 360 owners, don't forget all of the PS3 owners who are getting this on PC because it isn't really a 360 exclusive. You just insulted them, too.
I don't know. I'd like to see a Quarian face. But I have a pretty good idea of what it must look like.
There you have it, then. Explicit sex and nudity for the sake of having it is not mature. There is value to leaving some things to the imagination. Unless people are so zoned out on tv, movies and videogames that they don't have any imagination left.
I'd much rather have new franchises as opposed to rehashes of the old ones. So I'm not upset that the familiar old games are going multiplat. Sony and Microsoft have both delivered fun, new IP's this generation and I hope that it just continues.
