Microsoft isn't the only company horrible with hardware. It took Sony 3 generations and countless hardware revisions to get quality under control. Hopefully Microsoft learned something from the RROD problem and builds a solid box next time around.
Metacritic's scores are an average. If every score should be at or above the average then the score is no longer an average.
Since when did Metacritic become the defining word in quality? That's like calling this place the defining source of video game news.
It's sad that an IP as potentially awesome as Iron Man gets the movie-to-game treatment.
Ugh, yet another person spamming their crappy website. I haven't played any of the games on that list.
Good. Let's go play some games now.
Why?
I did. It was a good article. I can see where system bias plays a part in how people feel. Just look at the comments here. Like I said, I like them equally. They're both fantastic games.
Holy crap does IGN know how to stoke the fire! Both games are pretty freaking awesome. I pretty much like them equally.
Might want to watch it with the spoilers there, dchalfont. At least if you're going to post them be kind enough to give people warning so they can skip your post.
I wish I knew more about the game. There's really not enough information available to call it sub-par.
Even if Sony passes Microsoft it's still a race for second place.
It's probably the case where an engineer specifies their property names once and the tools generate all of the platform-specific instances of them. It isn't all that hard to understand.
I wouldn't get wrapped around the axle on this. There's probably some sort of CodeDOM like feature of the Unreal engine development tools that auto-generates properties for all supported platforms. It really isn't all that uncommon, and it's even less uncommon for software engineers to leave junk in their code that isn't needed. I can't tell you how many times I've seen unused variables left in source code. A common case I've seen is generation of database adapters. A lot of time they get gen...
The 360 and PC versions aren't really that different. It really comes down to how you prefer to play your games. I like console gaming better than PC gaming, so regardless I'm going to pick the console version. But that's just me.
I guess I'll experience the failures for myself later. Glad I finally have some time to play this game.
You didn't happen to have a PS2, did you? Because disc swapping was going on there for more than half of the last decade.
I think that if a game did release on the PS3 on multiple discs 360 owners would be justified to jab back considering how much of a big deal is made of the issue by so many PS3 owners. And it is such a non-issue, especially if someone wasn't going to buy it for 360 anyway. People swap discs every time they change games. What's the difference?
Over the life of the game someone who gets this on 360 is going to spend less time swapping discs than someone who gets this is going to s...
I wonder if it is really necessary. If it actually moves the story along then so be it.
Sign in the store saying that the ad is a mistake and they meant Modern Warfare 2. They won't sell it for $44.99.
I'm sure lots of people will buy it, so it will at least be a commercial success. I will be one of those people. I tend to believe the alternate article about why it will rock.
