Lower res textures? Really?
This seems to be one of the favorite topics on Gamesthirst. Anything to get some hits, right?
I think by now everyone knows the compromises made with the Xbox 360 version. But if people want the game and only have a 360 then they have the option to play without buying a PS3. If they have a PS3, then that's the version they'll likely buy. If I decide to purchase the game then the PS3 version is the one I'll get. Only makes sense.
You're right. So often there's criticism around here from people judging games based on demos. How bent out of shape were people when GTA 5 was judged harshly based on the Academy demo? Or how bent out of shape do they get when GOW III is judged based on the E3 demo.
Sad. Just sad.
Natal is still in development. What exactly does this prove?
I've never really considered Uncharted 2 to be a third party shooter of the same ilk as Gears. There's as much platforming and puzzle solving as there is shooting.
I'd be surprised if people really expect that the 360 will continue to lead the PS3 in total sales. PlayStation is a much bigger brand globally than Xbox is. And now that the PS3 price point is more palatable people are buying more of them.
I think the Xbox 360 will continue to perform well and will have a respectable install base when this generation comes to the end of the road. So if Sony sells more units it still won't matter. Xbox 360 is already successful in its own right. ...
What's so interesting about this submission is that it could very well be trolling both 360 and PS3 fanboys at the very same time. Which is somewhat funny to me, and which also might explain why there's so much heat with so few comments. People are loading up their flame guns and clicking the link only to be sorely disappointed.
Golf clap to the submitter.
Looks like Master Chief is making his debut on these systems as well:

And there are many more. Here's a partial list:

The demo's controls definitely take quite a bit to get used to. I like the game's style, even if some of the motion controls are a bit clunky. I'd much prefer the option of just hitting the X button instead of having to move the control stick left and around. But from the demo I saw something that could be really fun.
I'm on the fence about the final version. I want to play it but I feel like it is going to take more of a commitment than I can give it right now. I'm sure I'll ult...
My ancient 5.1 receiver finally went to the reconditioning bin in the sky, so I'm in the market for an audio upgrade. I'm ready to hear what high-definition audio really sounds like.
Sounds like this guy has a chip on his shoulder to me. And spreading his videos around the internet is a pretty low-class thing to do, IMO.
If you believe that I've got a bridge to sell you.
This game was intended to be cornball.
No doubt. Bubbles up!
I'm glad that Microsoft made the Xbox 360. I've had a great time with it. It sits on my entertainment system next to its close console friends.
Shouldn't be a long wait. I'm sure someone is desperately scouring the internet looking for it.
Personally I'd rather have a controller that I can easily pop a new rechargeable battery pack into than a controller that I can't do that with. You can get a 360 controller with the play and charge kit for the same price as a PS3 controller. So that one definitely should fall off the list.
Lair was not third party, it was second-party. It was published by SCEA. And it bombed big-time, even with the control patch and the Sony "here's how to review our game" damage control.
Still, I don't think that Lair and Haze were Sony failures as much as they were fanboy hype failures. All you saw at the time was "just wait until Lair" and "just wait until Haze" and "just wait until" for practically every game. What it really took was for...
This article sucks. It's designed purely to generate heat on N4G and get traffic for this guy's website. At best it is spam. No sense directing people there.
Or you could just not install it to the hard drive. 0GB installation size that way. And Arcade owners still get to play.
I'm constantly amazed at the lengths people go to in order to make a game console look bad. So sad.
Nobody supports older versions forever. I would think that in 2010 it would be pretty safe to kill off Windows 2000.
If you like XP then upgrade to SP3 I guess. Except that breaks quite a bit of software from my experience. Of course, Vista SP2 isn't a bad product, except it slowly consumes your hard drive..
