There are still SDTV gamers?

So since you brought it up, what makes it better than the Wii remote? Is it the little ball on the end? Is it because Sony says it's better and you just believe it? What's more compelling about this than the Wii?

Not all Wii titles are shovelware. And Fishy makes a good point. We're seeing a lot of folks who have traditionally bashed Nintendo and their idea for motion control embrace this technology with open arms for no other reason than Sony says it's gonna be great. We're seeing the same with Xbox and Natal.

And just because Socom 4 has motion controls doesn't mean that Sony knows how to do it right. There are a ton of first-party blockbusters on the Wii that all use motion control suc...

I thought the innovation was that the little ball changed color.

By trying to pick up the scraps falling off of Nintendo's table?

This is exactly the kind of game that is attracted by this technology. It's kind of funny how so many people actually believed that this technology would be for people who buy traditionally buy PlayStation and not for people other than the Wii's target audience.

The whole point of PlayStation Move is to try to capture a piece of the market that shot Nintendo into the lead this generation.

Take a look at Red Steel. Yeah...

Time for all of the people who've been criticizing Nintendo for 3 years to start singing the praises of Sony and their innovative ways. I guess it's the ball on the end that makes it innovative.

There are definitely a lot of good games out right now and we have to choose wisely. FFXIII is one I'll probably pick up later, but there are too many other good games I really want to play right now.

Why? So they can leave all of that money from 360 owners on the table? The 360 version was gravy as the game was pretty far along on the PS3 when the 360 version was announced.

Strong sales.

I hope that the early adopters enjoy this stuff. This is a technology that I'll probably have to wait on. I recently bought a Samsung UN46B6000. It'll definitely hold me over until this tech becomes more affordable.

Digital downloads are not that far away. You're already doing it now if you buy games from the XBox Live marketplace or the PSN store. Or if you download movies via Netflix. Or if you download songs from the Apple iTunes store.

The truth is that digital downloads are here now. And with the right peer-to-peer software the time it takes to download 5 or 6 gigs could be greatly minimized.

I'm not saying it's what Microsoft should do. But it isn't as far-fetched as many ...

It's just too late to add Blu-ray to Xbox 360. It would potentially disenfranchise 30 million or more people who currently have the console and many people just wouldn't be able to afford an add-on for games. If people are griping about not having it for movies then they can go buy a Blu-ray player for less than Microsoft would charge for a Blu-ray add-on.

Blu-ray or some form of high-capacity storage is a must-have for the next Xbox. But not the current one.

That's true. The install base is there for each platform to provide enough of a market to ensure that high-quality, well-marketed games are able to achieve a profit.

As long as the awesome games keep coming I'm a fan of Sony pushing 127 million units.

They cost money to make, so I don't see why Microsoft shouldn't charge for them.

That said, these things are less than 5 bucks used on eBay. No sense in shelling out for a new one when you can get one super-cheap and then turn around and sell it when you're finished.

That's a lot of money. Looks like it was worth it, though.

It's clear that if the gun hadn't been there then this little girl would still be alive. But it isn't the fault of the gun, it's the fault of the person that left it within reach of a toddler.

Guns aren't what make crime violent, my friend. And I wouldn't go using the UK as a prime example of where gun control laws have reduced violent crime rates.

But if it makes you feel better to bash the United States, then please do whatever you need to do.
