And angry over something that is so trivial. People act as though the game is going to be unplayable because what's in the frame buffer gets upscaled from 576p to 720p. The reality is that in the end nobody is really going to be able to tell, even though they think they can.
I had no idea that resolution is what makes a game enjoyable. No idea at all. But I guess folks will fight over anything.
Well I have both PS3 and 360, so it really doesn't make a difference to me. But the point still remains that this is a pretty trivial thing to be arguing over.
So whenever my PS3 switches resolutions and I'm plugged in via HDMI there's always a 1 or 2 second pause while the change from 720p to 1080p happens. I hope that doesn't happen during gameplay. Seems to me that it would make sense to pick a resolution and stick with it.
Yep. More FUD.
That's kind of funny. I hate draconian DRM schemes that only hurt legitimate owners. I chuckle a little every time one falls.
I know! Let's all say "but Microsoft's problems are worse, so this shouldn't matter" over and over again instead of acknowledging that millions of PS3 consoles were hit by a bug that made them practically bricks for 24 hours. Yeah, that's what should happen.
Guys, I dig my PS3 as much as anyone else. But nothing that happened to any other piece of anything that was made by anybody else makes what happened this week less significant. The PS3 had a bug. It knocked people ...
I knew it would only be a matter of time before someone dug up an RROD story to shift the focus off of Sony's little bug this week. So funny!
Funny how the very first comment was "yeah, but RROD!" and everyone agreed. This was a screw-up by Sony. Just accept it and move on. Sony created their bad press with this one.
Crab makes a good point, though. Every time the PS3 is outsold in North America there are dozens of "America does not equal the world" comments. The reality is that Amazon does not reflect the entire market. I have no doubt that PS3 is doing really well, but it's important to keep sales-related topics in the proper context.
Of course, there were no "PS3 is in 7th place on Amazon" articles when Nintendo and their products were in the top spots week before last...
Good for PS3 on Amazon I guess.
Who really cares? Really? What effect does that have on the story? On the gameplay?
*Rolls eyes*
Yeah, because Firefox/Mozilla is vulnerability free, right?
http://www.mozilla.org/secu...
Microsoft is just an easy target. But in reality it isn't less secure than Mozilla. It just gets slammed more.
It does lack some of the awesome features of Mozilla, though. That's why I use mainly Mozilla browsers.
Wow, look at all of the deleted comments. I guess Halo is a pretty personal subject considering the number of personal attacks. So silly.
Anyway, I hope the announcement is something truly compelling. I wasn't very fond of Halo 3, so here's to hoping this one is worthy of the name.
Heavy Rain definitely doesn't play like a traditional game. I'd like an option to turn off some of the more tedious, forced controls and replace them with simple button presses. I think I understand why it was created that way, but some of the interactions are just odd.
This game has its issues, just like every game does. No game is perfect. Hopefully the next game of its kind improves on the gameplay mechanics a bit. But overall it is a fantastic, evolving experience. Hopefully ...
I bet your auto mechanic loves you.
So in other words just more rumor and speculation. I guess someone will know what's up sooner or later.
Heh...so many times I've read the word "butthurt" around here lately. This made me chuckle.
Sony has a bit of pie on the face for this. No big deal. And as far as the trolls and flamers around here, what else do you expect? You can't jump on the flaws of one system without having to take some heat when it happens to you. Might as well just live with it and wait for it to blow over. I'm sure sooner or later some other console will have a problem and you'll be able to spew vitriol about it.
Did it affect you?
Yet another shooter. Meh.
