I don't understand the negativity towards "pixel counters".
Sorry. But we kinda all are, if you've upgraded to next gen. If we didn't care about higher res and better visuals we would still be playing on last gen hardware. No?
Sorry. Back OT. Game should look great @900/30p. As long as it's a solid, locked 30fps.
I've been playing Watch_dogs on PS4 and it looks great at the same native res/framerate.

I'm personally hoping for Drive Club or Project Cars support for Morpheus.
VR and driving sim or flight sim match made in heaven IMO
Point?
Some of my greatest gaming memories have been linear as f'k. Done properly linear is freaking awesome. Story, characters and solid shooting mechanics will make or break this game.
The graphics will be mind blowing, that goes without saying. But the rest of the game needs to be on par.
Wrong post.
The Mass Effect games have always been an entertaining experience but I didn't like the direction the second and third instalments took.
The first game in the series was by far my favourite. I hope the next trilogy takes the series back to its roots with a greater focus on exploration and freedom.
Think open world (well open galaxy really lol) space exploration RPG.
The last two games ended up being just a long series of "fetch ques...
@naga
How is Forza Motorsport in anyway a "Sim"?
Don't get me wrong. I've always enjoyed the Forza games. But they are more arcade racer than sim. The driving model is way to simplistic and inaccurate.
They are very fun, easy and accessible though. Just hate it when people class games like that with true Sims.
Sorry, back OT. Never played the original Horizons. So I'm definitely going to check this out....
Memories........
My DS4 lasts far longer than most of my gaming sessions. 5-6hrs out a charge is awesome IMO. Considering how light and comfortable the controller is.
Also my xperia Z2 last 48hr+ between charges for light/moderate use and I can game (if you can really call it that) for 10hrs+ on a single charge.
Apple battery life is woeful for a modern mobile phone.
You guys are idiots! The console was specifically designed with the three feet and the optical drive counter balanced like that to minimise harmonics and vibration.
There is NO wobble issue. The console is rock solid if not 'messed with'. I've seen people press on it to make it wobble. But that's idiocy! Why would you be pushing on your console while it's operating?
Come on Sony. Project Morpheus demo at E3! I want me some Vr action!
@Red_eye
I see your point. They do share some mechanics. But after playing several hrs tonight I do think that the devs have made a lot of deliberate design choices to distance this game from GTA.
And for me at least, it is one of the reasons I am liking WD so much. I also really like the GTA games but the two are trying to be very different games.
Both are great in their own way. People just need to stop expecting WD to play like GTA and jus...
I think the mistake people are making is going into this game expecting a GTA experience. If you want to play a GTA style game. Go play GTA5 ffs.
If you go into WD with an open mind and hoping for a more cerebral and tactical experience you will have a blast. It's not trying to be GTA. Comparing the two does WD a huge injustice.
It's a great game it it's own right, and a breath of fresh air in the "Open World" genre. For those who just ...
I'd buy a WiiU just to play a new Metroid Game. By far my favourite GameCube game of all time.
Metroid Prime was perfect.
Asynchronous GPGPU compute is already in use in many PS4 exclusives.
Killzone Shadowfall uses it. As does Infamous Second Son. Other games may also, but I can only confirm these titles personally.
It will be a huge focus for SONY first party devs. And even multi plats as developers start to make greater use of the tech. Both current and next gen PC graphics cards are geared heavily for GPGPU.
Been saying since before the PS4 was even released that Asynchronous GPGPU compute would be a huge focus with the PS4 and PC GPUs in the coming years.
It's also yet another area where the Xbox1's hardware is lacking. The Xbox1 can do GPGPU (any core next AMD based system can) but it is not geared heavily towards its efficient use like the PS4.
The PS4 was built from the ground up with GPGPU and Asynchronous Compute in mind.
Lols. This is the exact same crap we heard for weeks leading up to the launch of BF4.
All the MS fans were like 'Xbox1 version looks sharper/better colours'. And it ended up being the notorious sharpening filter (that MS ended up removing lol).
In the end the PS4 version looked much better. As have all multiplats released since. PS4 version has better res, better AA, more advanced AO. But sure, the Xbox1 version looks better?! What the hell is wrong w...
Ummm. Not sure what your trying to say exactly. The devs have been completely open about the resolution, the aspect ratio and their reasons for using them.
They have also stated several times that the game would be easier to run in full 1080p with a less demanding AA.
The choice to use extremely demanding x4MSAA and the reduced pixel count were calculated and deliberate and IMO have played off with the gorgeous visuals.
The devs have been not...
It seems there is a lot of negativity lately when ever a game shows potential. Usually by the opposing camp. Sad really.
And before I get stealth disagess from the Ms camp. My statement goes both ways. The PS fan boys are the first to show up and dis a Xbox exclusive when it shows promise.
Come on people, credit when credit is due. Don't be haters lol.
Valid point.
I don't see why people automatically assume every gamers gets to play every game. Due to time restraints I missed playing heaps of awesome games last gen.
I for one am overjoyed that I get to experience these games for the first time in their remastered glory.
Just finished Tomb Raider on PS4, great game. And kinda glad I never played the original last gen lol.
While both the Xbox1 and PS4 versions are both native 1080/30p I fully expect the PS4 version to have better AA, AO, and probably shadow quality and be less prone to frame rate drops.
(essentially what we saw in Watch_dogs recently)
If Bungie have indeed gimped the PS4 version and not pushed the hardware to its limits then it's a non purchase for me. I'm all for the games (irrespective of res fps) a fun game is a fun game after all.
