I know my 1994 - 1999 brain would have been blown. Would have lost many nights of sleep binging the game.
I hate these kind of takes. Two wrongs never make a right. The world would be a much better place without this type of thought process.
CD has caught plenty of heat for the game they released and are a paying for it through bad publicity, loss of sales, and issuing refunds. They do not deserve to be hacked and have their work stolen.
I live 30 minutes from Tampa and have been a fan my whole life. Not feeling super confident, but I also wasn’t feeling confident when they played the Saints and Packers.
The steps are true to the original. Take the elevator.
Good list. Made me laugh at myself a little.
I believe this will backfire on them. When considering the competition, the attractiveness of their product was already questionable prior to this move. This will result in a loss of customers and less people will be willing to purchase in their product.
I have both, but this aggravates me enough that it makes me wish I didn't purchase a Series X. If this news came out prior to my purchase. I would not have made it. I play my PS5 more anyway. Even with Gamepass
Agreed, and while it is clear Microsoft is trying to force everyone into their Gamepass model, they are going about it the wrong way. They are in desperate need for exclusive content, and without content that is highly attractive to the consumer, they run the risk of not being able to force these aggressive price increases and subscription services on said consumer. I think they are overestimating what the consumer will put up with and are reaching the point of potentially alienating them. Es...
I keep seeing these post of "this doesn't impact me." Even if that is true, how is this a good thing? It is obvious that their business model is going to become less and less consumer friendly. Microsoft is taking us down a road that will ultimately end badly for the gamer. This coming from a current Ultimate subscriber.
I would actually pay for a true remake
of Ocarina of Time, but I’m not paying for anything like the 3D All Star completion. Especially considering I still have the older consoles and there has been adequate emulation for N64 for almost 2 decades now.
I got this email and the attached code, but I got it for getting the platinum for Spider-Man Remaster. I suspect maybe you can get the bonus for getting a platinum for either. I think platinum bonuses in general are pretty cool because it provides more incentive beyond a digital trophy to actually do it.
This is a great point! I try to explain the scarcity of games in my time to my 9 year old who has a Switch and she just doesn't get it. She gives up so easily and moves on if she simply cannot figure something out and it frustrates me because I only had a few games at her age and had to play them endlessly or play nothing. It is mostly my fault though because she has a Dad who has pretty much every "retro" platform emulated or owned, has a couple arcade cabinets in the "man...
Ironically most of my playtime with Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out came at my neighbors house as well. My parents got me an NES for Christmas after seeing how much time I was spending over there and Punch-Out was the first game they bought for me.
As for Ninja Gaiden. I never beat it honestly. There was a jump in late mine stage with a bird or skeleton bird that always knocked me into the pit and to my death. It was only after the advent of the Game Genie that I was able to beat t...
Also games were short on content due to memory limitations, and the increased difficulty ensured replay ability. I spent years of my child hood trying to master games like Battletoads, Ninja Gaiden, and Mike Tyson's Punch out. It took me a long time to get to Mike Tyson not to mention knock the unstoppable force out. Super gratifying when I finally beat him as my parents cheered me on. For me I think it helped teach perseverance, but many games were extremely frustrating at times!
More Punch-Out is always a good thing. Adding Tyson is just icing on the cake. Will purchase if made.
I have a Series X and its a nice feature, but I don’t believe it sells consoles.
Let the downvotes come, but I would pay for a PS5 remaster since I have been waiting to purchase the game after clearing some of my backlog. Remaster or not I will get to it this year either way.
Agreed jznrpg. At this rate the S/X may do worse than the One if they don’t wake up. Only time will tell.
Honestly one didn’t grow up during this time of gaming you can’t expect them to get. Due to hardware limitations much was left to the imagination when it came to story. It was gameplay or nothing in those days.
Those graphics would have been very good for the time. Especially considering the scope. Would have likely showed the game off to friends.
