One of the positives of the Series X is that it automatically recognizes whether your device is capable of Dolby Vision or 120hz, etc. You really don't have to go in an calibrate many of the things the author is talking about as the system just does it for you in most cases. It is a really well-built machine. It just needs new high quality next-gen games to really make it great.

Will you be fine with it in 2022 when PS5s are more widely available?

At that point and with development times continuing to increase, we will be complaining that the PS5 versions 5 years from 2022 are gimping the PS6 versions. Ultimately I didn't drop $500 on a next gen console for a 2013 experience with more shine. Its time for something new. Just like Jim Ryan said last year.

Oh yeah Milo! Couldn't wait to help that boy stop procrastinating on his homework so he could have a productive little digital life. Never happened though. Lol

Definitely wasn't beta and to give a little more credit it was a PS2 door.

Yeah this game had a really clean release. Other than some inconsistent texture issues in a few areas, I don't really remember their being any significant bugs. I platinumed the game so you think I would find them if they were there. I was amazed at level of visual fidelity and performance Square was able to achieve on the PS4. They really did a fantastic job on this game overall.

All the apartment doors had the same issue. Just played the PS4 version on my PS5 a couple of nights ago to check if texture loading was fixed by simply playing it on beefier hardware, but is was not.

While the visual inconsistencies and texture loading were very strange, I enjoyed the heck out of this game. Really glad to hear that they managed to fix whatever was causing the texture load issue on the PS5 version.

If it is that important I’m sure you and many others will be able to get their hands on an X/S by the end of 2022. Considering this it would be more of a shame for one of their flagship games to still be locked to 9 year old tech (in 2022). It’s time for a new experience.

@Speak

“who’s the real thief?” “One side stole from people LEGALLY the other stole from a company ILLEGALLY.”

Um...You answered your own question with the use of the word legally. Also the “legal thief’s” which is an oxymoron in itself, have offered refunds to those asking for them. I hardly expect the “illegal thief’s” have any intent to issue any funds to those they stole from.

What CDPR did was immoral and I do not condone it, but t...

This is exactly what I would do since I know nothing of running any of these companies. Take my package and go sit on the beach. They would likely save more money by giving me a benefits package rather than letting me run the company. LOL

Yeah I get that. I purchased a launch model PS4 (2013) then upgraded to the PS4 Pro shortly after (2016) just to have the best experience possible on the console. Don't regret it a bit.

I sincerely hope you never make any mistakes throughout the course of your life. large or small because judging by comments like yours, grace may be in short supply.

This is so true. It is obvious that CDPR should not have released this buggy mess, but at least they have been trying to rectify the situation by offering refunds. The paywalls, micro-transactions, and addictive monetization loops utilized by companies like Take Two and EA are what really hurt the overall experience for gamers. One buggy game is bad, but the anti-consumer practices by the companies I previously mentioned are much worse for the consumer on a macro scale.

Be clear on this. Are you suggesting to wrongs make a right and that CDPR deserves this? Lastly, as much as I dislike EA I would never wish this on them. Stealing some else's work is wrong. I don't like EA's business practices so I do not purchase their products, but just because I do not like what they do it does not give me the right to steal from them.

I had an OG Xbox, and a 360, but did not own an X-One so the purchase made sense for me. Had I owned an X-One I would have likely taken the wait and see approach with the Series X.

@CS7 Agreed and perhaps in 2026 we will be complaining that the PS5 is holding back the true potential of the PS6. With game development times continually extending through each generation, GoW 2 being cross-gen is not good news.

Not that looney just not well stated. Fauci did not collaborate on the creation of the virus but he did allow the indirect funding with US tax $ through the NIH for gain of function research to the Wuhan lab in question. Did Covid come from that lab? We do not know yet. However, the former CDC director believes it did and Fauci had flipped on his position from last year that it absolutely could not have to maybe it did and should be investigated. All of these discussions were taboo and censor...
