You had me until the word gratitude.
Ironically if you watch the first video on YouTube, the uploader says that the console is working now and the problem turned out to be their power strip. It is much to early to say that there is a significant problem with the Series X. I'm only one person, but there have been no issues with mine yet (knock on wood).
But in this case it is not on paper as It was demonstrated in the video for this game. Loaded at approximately 4 seconds on the Series X and loaded at approximately 2 seconds on the PS5. The load speed is literally nearly double for this game on the PS5. If this level of performance holds and is extrapolated among more demanding next gen games, the player will definitely feel a difference.
That's a great take blitz, the 8th generation has been a great generation for gamers of all different types. There has been something for everyone to enjoy.
I see where you are coming from NX, but they acknowledge when they are speculating. You don't typically see that from a biased source because they usually present even speculative information as fact. Nevertheless, we agree that they are a neutral source.
This is dumb.
@IRetro If that is the case it seems to be an easy fix. Perhaps a simple firmware patch can be applied and it will fix the issue on this game and all games moving forward. The console hasn't even been released yet so it is no surprise that all the features have not been fully ironed out yet.
Got to have reasons for a mid-gen upgrade. That is when we will get native 4k and 60fps.
That begs to question why Capcom made the option available on one platform and not the other. Is it a hardware issue? I really hope this is fully on Capcom, but it why not just make the option available on both if it has nothing to do with the design of the hardware?
I keep seeing this, but several fail to point out that the overall speed is nearly DOUBLED on the PS5. That is a huge difference.
@RazzerRedux I initially thought the same thing and I hope you are correct. However, why would the developer elect to allow for VRR on both platforms as opposed to just allowing it on both? I hope you are correct that it comes down to the games development, but I can't help but think that the differing development approaches may be a result of the hardware not allowing the option.
@itsmebrian agreed DF is neutral, but people get upset if facts are reported in a way that contradicts “their truth.”
Yes loading from a time perspective is nearly unnoticeable, but when one loads at approximately 2 seconds and the other approximately 4, the difference is double or nearly double the performance from the SSD.
I have an LG OLED B6 and C8 so 60hz is the top end. I really hope that not being able to switch refresh rates is something that gets ironed out on the PS5. I would hate to be stuck at lower resolutions simply because I can't scale the refresh rate. Other than that both versions are highly comparable.
These kinds of things happen from time to time, but man did Microsoft make it hard on everyone with their branding!
@Davezero Hence the word “typically.”
Value brands typically come at the cost of quality.
I expect more patches will come for the the PS Plus Collection. Sony is bringing this gen.
Yes I would. In fact, I believe that super spec gaming rigs are never really utilized to their fullest potential due to the popularity of the lower spec consoles. As such, graphics cards such as the RTX 3090 are unfortunately super-adequate for our current gaming market.
"That’s the thing I want us to be driven by, not how many individual pieces of plastic did we sell.”
Wow Phil, way to make me fill like an idiot for spending $500 the piece of plastic you just sold me.
