New IPs are on the 3DS eShop. Now go support them.
"Price drop is mostly what is needed."
What are you, LOL_WUT's twin? Retailers have been slashing the Wii U's price themselves with little to no results. You can't expect a lower price tag to reel in customers when there is hardly any awareness of the console.
Stop saying a price cut will help the Wii U sell, because news flash: it has not and will not.
DLC is not a bad thing at all. Cosmetic DLC and expansions are hardly a bad thing to any gamer. It's the way publishers like Capcom and EA have abused the system and made it seem like this horrid plague on the industry.
The quote you cited was confusing because you used it to seemingly label Nintendo fans as blind sheep who will buy Nintendo products no matter what (or so the wording seems to suggest).
The thing of it is, if you want more of something you need to support it. Nintendo did not previously believe that Earthbound had a viable following in the west. Through Miiverse, they learned otherwise and responded. I think it's pretty disrespectful, not to mention narrow-minded, to take...
The original Yoshi's Island also looked like this... it's just that Yoshi himself was not yarn.
lilbroRx has a point, particularly with how vehemently this community seems to detest Nintendo. Whether it is how often you used to insult me (often for no reason and you only stopped after reading my latest blog), or how positive articles receive no buzz while negative ones go anywhere from 500 degrees to well over a thousand, there are users on here who seem to have a great deal of disdain for Nintendo.
Some have reasonable arguments as to why, but I've come across plen...
I'll never understand why guys like you make such a huge deal out of it. It's just a fun little promotion they're doing for fans, no different than the polling that Warner Bros. was doing to promote Injustice.
@beakeroo1
There's a peripheral for that. Besides, I have the Wii U version which does have dual sticks.
Oh hey, more of the same tired drivel. Like we haven't seen this before on N4G.
Why are you singling out Nintendo? This is something a ton of publishers do. Outside of Journey, I dare you to name any recent media driven release that wasn't an adaptation, sequel or reboot.
"why would someone buy a Wii U when they can just buy a 3DS?"
Well for starters they can't ever get the new Mario Kart, X, Bayonetta 2 on the 3DS. Or the Wii U version of Smash Bros. (the supposedly online, more competitive version) for that matter. At least we know those games are hitting Wii U at some point.
That's like asking if Disney is overusing Mickey Mouse. It isn't about that; those franchises have an essence of timelessness about them. Any generation of gamer can enjoy them.
Being that Galaxy is my favorite (with Super Mario Bros. 3 and the original at a close second and third respectively) this list is shockingly accurate, at least for me.
Or perhaps they're just doing a fun promotion for fans of the character and Mario series as a whole. Just a thought.
Man oh man if this list is real (which I don't believe because of the title like Neonridr said).
People are still bitter about that three generations later?
Goes to show that Nintendo can and apparently does listen to their fans. With any luck they will at least try to bring the other Mother games over in some shape or form some day.
It may differ from console to console. My Wii U has not frozen since the first post launch update, but a good friend of mine who games for much longer period of time has experienced some freezes while playing for ten or more hours without shutting off the console.
So to sum up, massive 3DS first party push, Wii U update includes storage transfer system, faster load times, better stability and background downloads/installations, VC, new IPs on the eShop from famous Japanese developers including Keiji Inafune, a 3DS Zelda sequel to A Link to the Past and some notoriety given to Japanese games like Monster Hunter and Bravely Default.
Oh, and Earthbound is finally getting a VC release. That made me giddy.
I was actually pretty calm. Sorry my opinion made you think I was upset? Maybe you should make a few less assumptions about people yourself. If you actually read my comment, the way he worded his response to the quote came off that way.
Unless you're referring to yourself, in which case, I would think accusing someone of boosting himself with alt. accounts or calling them a delusional fanboy just for commenting differently would come off as an attack, don't you?
