Ah yes, anything that doesn't penetrate that bubble of yours must mean that the producer was lying all along. Those fiends! Death to Nintendo!
Seriously, there were several reports from Nintendo and retailers talking about Wii U hardware being sold out during the first week of launch. But for some reason the possibility of the Wii U selling out week one and then being restocked more rapidly than the original Wii doesn't seem to resonate in your mind.
@ApolloTheBoss
Not the first time it's happened.

Read my comment again. I said they were cheesy at worst and that I don't see what was "so bad" about them.
If people don't particularly like them, I wouldn't blame them but I don't see why people are freaking out going "OH NINTENDO MADE IT WORSE!!!"
Again with this? I'm still not seeing what's so bad about these ads and why you guys are flipping out about them. They're cheesy at worst and eye-catching at best.
Skyward Sword was released in the Wii's final year of support. That's a poor comparison.
Resident Evil 6 is a high budget game. Journey is not. Both are on the PS3, but there's a pretty big difference between them. I'll let you guess what it is.
In the game industry, sure. Of all corporations in the world or even just the country, not even close.
I'm inline with the first comment. I believe in freedom of expression as well. However, if there's subject matter that I don't particularly care for (such as Dead Island's crappy trailer involving an emotional scene that had nothing to do with the actual game), then I simply choose to turn the other cheek.
Holy crap. Me want.
Honestly, all it's missing is a screen recording function to capture little moments during your game, akin to Halo's theater mode. I think Miiverse is a really neat idea and really can be a killer app if expanded upon.
This is the one feature I was missing most when the eShop initially launched on the 3DS and then on the Wii U later on. Gifting is a great feature and it really needs to make a comeback on these platforms.
Holy cow. This thing isn't even out yet.
I'll take it.
Oy vai. How many more articles with this same damn headline are we going to get?
Would dropping hardware be all that beneficial to non-Nintendo fans anyway? I can imagine Nintendo providing software exclusively for their handhelds if they ever stopped making consoles. Which really would not happen considering even Nintendo's lowest selling consoles were profitable. The reason Sega dropped out of hardware is because they produced two consoles that did not sell very well an...
This couldn't have been handled with more tact?
@Theyellowflash30
Ignore him. If his antics on the "Wii U has won next gen" article is any indication, majiebeast is a troll.
Pertaining specifically to the hottest article of this variety right now in the Wii U section, one of the highest bubbled commenters was apparently one of the people who approved the article. It seemed to me like a classic instance of "hook, line and sinker."
I do agree somewhat. A shift in focus is definitely necessary. The Wii U's gamepad is a nice convenience, but it should not be the forefront of the system, similarly to the 3DS' 3D feature.
However software is essential. No hardware will sell without viable and quality software to use on it. In this sense, I'm tired of people insisting that the platform is DOA. At least acknowledge the possibility of it selling better after Nintendo gets it into gear.
@LOL_WUT
You mean the same "reality" that convinced you that a price drop was the end all be all of the Wii U's magic bullets for success? Software moved the 3DS, why wouldn't move the Wii U?
Second circle pad is really my only concern. Maybe some grips on the bottom to make it feel more ergonomic like a controller.
