And hello nostalgia! I'll be looking forward to this.
Games of that nature haven't really moved the media or the public in any way. The Wii U needs some games that really grabs peoples' attention. For those who have adopted early, your point makes sense since there's some content to access on it, even if not a whole lot. As for people still waiting for a reason, it's understandable why someone may not dive in right now.
"N4G" "flame bait"
There's your answer.
The only VC game I can think of that counts as a rerelease as oppose to a port would be a Capcom fighting game (maybe a Street Fighter game) due to the inclusion of online multiplayer. Usually these games don't receive any updates which is unfortunate. If anything I would have liked to see performance upgrades on games like Zelda OoT and Star Fox 64.
It already happened. Twin Snakes was on the Gamecube and Metal Gear Solid 2 was on the Xbox at some point.
If the feature (and I use that term in the loosest of ways) becomes a standard in gaming, then it potentially could. I can't even see the mass market consumer buying into a console of that nature for very long.
I think it has just as much to do with our media outlets though. IGN is a pretty popular and also corporate entity, Kotaku is like a video game tabloid and other such entities are the ones who give these games so much attention.
It's too bad. There are many smaller scale blogs and websites that offer insight on better, more creative endeavors like WayForward, Double Fine and indie games.
More like it's simply not Xbox-friendly, or something about the creators not liking the Xbox hardware. The KH games have always been on Sony and Nintendo platforms. KH1/2 were on PS2, CoM on the GBA, Birth by Sleep on the PSP, a few DS games and most recently 3D on the 3DS.
Well, the rhetoric here isn't anything I haven't heard before. The end reads like another "doom" article. But alas, I have to agree. These services were fairly pointless and received few (if any) updates to keep them consistent. Personally I prefer the apps they've given to the 3DS (like Swapnote). Stuff like that is more interesting in my opinion.
And hello potential! I'm pretty sure I've mentioned my interest in playing as a girl in a Zelda game (technically a female Link) but this is neat too.
Have you checked out Wreck-It Ralph or Indie Game: The Movie? Sure, they're not based on any existing franchises, but they are by and large "video game movies." Crank and Crank 2 are also probably the closest thing we will ever have to real Grand Theft Auto or Saints Row movies.

How about credit where credit is due? At least none of the Wii U controllers have this issue. The 3DS and DS and even the Gameboy Advance SP ran on rechargeable batteries.
So no, I don't think they're stuck in 1995. However the Wiimote running on AA's was not a fantastic idea and should have been fixed years ago, not now.
What about the NES and SNES?
Hilarious! The ending was the scariest shit I've ever seen. Thanks for the nightmare fuel Egorapter.
^This. My Wiimotes drained quite a few of my AAs. There should have been a rechargeable battery long before now (and I'm not referring to the Nyko ones; I went through two of those packs which broke in a month).
We look at actors as individuals whereas we typically look at gamers as a group of people. In that respect, I don't see the significance of pointing out when someone who plays video games is male or female.
Works for me. I was getting this version anyway since most of my friends are also getting it. The rest are getting the 360 version, but I'll sooner invest in another EA game before I buy a fighting game to play with a 360 controller.
"No B-games" eh? While I commend Ubisoft for their work on the AAA games they bring out, why the heck do they also produce shovelware, like the fitness and Rabbids games?
Well the answer's obvious; "$$$".
READ my comment. I never claimed I knew why their stocks went up, let alone for their products selling well.
My guess? Port issues/bugs that they want to fix up before release. I assume this is their first Wii U project, so I'm surprised the delay is as small as it is.
