That's like asking if the PS3/PS4 are holding back the Vita. And the answer is no. They are separate devices with their own quarks.
You're right. The Pro controller is there for a reason either way.
@LOL_WUT and Root
You two are liars and losers.

Scroll down and read the first comment I left. And look at that! LOL_WUT even praised me for it. You guys are so unbelievably two-faced that you'll lie through your teeth to make me look bad when I've been completely ho...
Would be a nice third party option for Wii U owners. The golden question is whether or not it would be supported though.
Portal is not a conventional shooter at all. I figured by "shooters" this article was talking about shooting things with bullets. Portal took that entire concept and warped it. Not to mention it was still in a first person perspective. From where I'm standing, it counts.
EDIT: The first of half of Mirror's Edge counts as well.
Wow. Aren't you mature. Not only did you not acknowledge anything I actually stated in my comment, you also went with the "Wah, wah, you're a fanboy" routine. Maybe next time you should bring an actual argument with you and not your usual hamstrung bullshit.
Oh, and call me a faboy all you want. I've laid out my own criticisms of Nintendo in the past whether you want to acknowledge them or not. At least I am able to see the other side of the argument. Th...
No. Proof? Portal.
A relaunch would be an unorthodox way of handling it (you have 3+ million people with consoles with the Wii U label) but I can't imagine it hurting very much.
"You over exaggerate their position to make them look like extremist(though they actually express no such extremes) and completely refuse to address or even acknowledge their actual point/argument do to you have nothing real counter for it."
This part of your comment speaks to me particularly.
One of my latest blogs was completely about art styles where I pointed out a concern about games possibly all maintaining a dark, gritty and super detailed lo...
Well, at least you're capable of acknowledging it. I'm just tired of people sugarcoating or disguising Nintendo's current media perception as neutrality.
EDIT: I'd like to add that saying "it is what it is" isn't really a great excuse to me. I do think the media treats Nintendo pretty unfairly. But then expecting a big change for that is like expecting Kotaku to stop writing like a bad tabloid.
Root, haven't we gone through the ropes before? Seriously, someone posted an article about "turning around" the Virtual console literally THE WEEK it came out! I'm not saying the Wii U VC is perfect, but how is that not unreasonable criticism to you? I really question if there can even be a line drawn in your head.
Considering it gets me games I really enjoy and Nintendo more profit, I'd argue it's mutually beneficial.
Actually I really like the Pro controller as well as the gamepad, but I know a number of people who would all prefer playing Smash Bros. exclusively with the Gamecube controller, hence how this solves that problem for the fourth game. I personally would not mind either way.
Nintendo? Selling refurbished hardware? Discounted? Huh. That sounds quite a bit better than buying one refurbished from Gamestop.
I know for sure Nintendo said we're getting more info about those games this year, but I concur. Next year seems more accurate. I think seeing Mario and Mario Kart this year is more likely.
You know, I was willing to give this game the benefit of the doubt... but now I'm not entirely sure. I mean it may still be fun, but an Arkham game without Kevin Conroy? Just doesn't seem right.
@Donnieboi below
Heck if I know. I certainly have no idea. I don't see what the point of it would be. If this is canon to the Arkham games, why wouldn't you at least get Kevin Conroy?
According to the article the reason is this is a &q...
All operating systems get updated and are improved upon. The PS3 OS has existed for seven years and it still doesn't have background installations on it.
Honestly, it seems to me Nintendo just put the Wii U onto shelves and just wanted to wait and see how the market would react. Their approach to the console's launch and marketing has been pretty unorthodox, to say the least.
I wouldn't say Nintendo's pumping out B-grade software (NSMBU is pretty good in my opinion), but as far as console graphics are concerned, I agree. They really have not shown much to prove it's stronger than the 360/PS3. I believe it is (m...
I think the recent update is the first thing in years that I haven't seen blind hate-filled comments on. But the toss up is it really didn't receive a great deal of buzz here.
Skyrim certainly counts. I just listed Portal since it seemed like the most practical choice. Mirror's Edge is also a good option.
