The reason they're doing it is because other people are making money off of their IPs. No creative entertainment company likes that, free advertising or not.
You know, I get that the Wii U has a less than positive reputation, particularly on N4G, but why is it that when EA, a company I constantly hear people badmouth on a consistent basis, says something bad about the Wii U suddenly they're "misunderstood innovators who are 100% CORRECT"?
I still think they are indeed bitter. They may not be the only publisher not supporting Wii U, but they ARE the only publisher who allowed a member of their staff to be as unprofess...
Hey, he's still in the game and apparently has recorded dialogue for "ten months." As long as he's in the game it shows that the developers at least knew the fans would care.
Whoever they get to voice Bats better put up a stellar performance though.
I'm talking about the website, not Nintendo.
I know, right? Next thing you know they'll be saying fruits and vegetables make for a healthy diet for adults too.
They should have stated the "later half" of 2013. No really notable releases until the latter half of summer time.
Mario Kart's going to be announced at E3, as will several other new games... we've known this since the beginning of 2013. Jeez.
Considering he only has one bubble, he's probably a troll.
Oh please. Ask any of the Nintendo 3DS ambassadors.
This makes the Justice League theme play in my head. Either way, sweet victory!
The last Wii U article that said the console/company was doomed/dead/crap/etc.? The one before that? There's plenty of them.
I can't understand why even Sonic fans are mad about this. Since when are they bias toward Sony/Microsoft? Last time I checked, people liked the exclusive Gamecube games as well as the Wii/DS exclusive Sonic Colors games.
Ask the community members who keep approving articles with the same content as last week's material.
Yeah, they are taking all of the revenue. That's the part I specifically don't like.
"This is arguably worse than if they’d decided to pull the content altogether."
How in the blue hell is that worse? They're not removing videos, they're not blocking the content and most importantly no one's accounts are at risk.
This does one thing; it stops ad revenue for SOME YouTube uploads. Microsoft and Sega did far worse with far less of this kind of scrutiny. It's ridiculous.
@WonsAuto
And wh...
lol I didn't think you were. I've had random phantom disagrees all day.
Oh give me a break. EA has published games on Nintendo consoles in the past and could resume that at anytime in the future if they wanted to. That's coexistence, not competition. Sony and Microsoft are the competition, period.
"And the level of literal-ness is debatable in the diction of that comment."
This remark alone is damage control at its finest. Ironic that a week or two ago you were calling people out on Nintendo damage control.
That kind of already happened lol. They recently put out a statement that their stocks are good and their profits are up.
I don't know about you, but something like this seems more effective in my opinion. 1. I don't have to go to E3 in order to see these games and 2. I can actually play the demos at a local store. That's pretty awesome no matter which publisher is doing it. It connects with the general public AND it gives people a taste of what awesome games are to come.
The visuals and technical performance of Nintendo Land are leaps and bounds ahead of some early generation seven games, let alone any generation six games. This is a development issue through and through.
