And Wonderful 101. And Yakuza. And Sonic. And Game & Wario. And New Super Luigi U.
"when has EA ever contributed anything meaningful to a Nintendo platform?"
Funny thing, I brought this question up to a friend of mine on this topic and he came up with a damn good retort. Boom Blox on Wii, and its sequel were apparently both very successful games, both published by EA.
Not that any of EA's megafranchises were on Wii of course. A lot of EA is doing now is obviously pretty different from Boom Blox. And I'm with you; Sega >...
Nintendo confirmed the new Mario was a 3D platformer in the previous Wii U-centric Direct. They also confirmed that Wind Waker HD was made using the assets for the new 3D Zelda.
Look, just go watch that previous Direct if you don't want to take my word for it. All of the information is there.
The more the merrier as they say. Hopefully there's some quality content to come from this.
From what I understand, game development has very little actual fun involved. It's a grueling and difficult process with long work hours and very strict deadlines. Companies like Team Bondi were the epitome of this stereotype.
The problem is we need steady streams of content. If these devs took the amount of time absolutely necessary to properly polish and flesh out their games, we would see many release dates pushed back for years. It's a very challenging job for sur...
Piracy in its most basic form is simply getting a copy without paying and therefor not getting a license that gives you ownership of that copy. Generally it's our copyright laws that say it's illegal to simply download a digital copy of a game.

Here's a cute little music video on the subject from one of my favorite animators. And it makes a good po...
But he spoke DA TRUTHSSSS. /s
It's amazing how Orth lost his job over this and N4G users are praising this new guy. I'm sure someone out there will tell me "Oh he was right and blah-blah-blah". But really, I'm not convinced. In my view this just strengthens the notion that EA has a bitterness toward Nintendo. I don't see any other devs calling the Wii U "shit/dead." I don't see any other publishers being this unprofessional.

Nintyfanchildren? LOL Oh my goodness, I'm dealing with absolute lunacy. XD This is all too much.
The last two weren't great, but they didn't suck. Not nearly as badly as Unleashed, '06 or some of the spinoffs they used to spew out.
Everyone slung mud at that Orth go over his "get over it" tweets over the Nextbox "always online" rumor. How is that any different from this?
Yes, I know. It was a rhetorical question lol.
All the facts point away from such a move from Nintendo. Their consoles make them more money. It's simply a good business strategy at the end of the day.
Someone try to convince me that EA's not bitter at this point. I would LOVE to see someone prove that to me.
@bicfitness
"Conversely, can you prove that EA ARE bitter?"
You can't be serious. Look at the tweet.
"The WiiU is crap. Less powerful than an XBOX360. Poor online/store. Weird tablet. Nintendo are walking dead at this point."
How does that not sound bitter to you? That's...
Considering the recent deal with Sega, you can bet your bum that Sonic's coming back (hopefully with a less broken Final Smash this time).
My top picks are still Shulk, Kumatora, Little Mac and Dillon.
Not even. At this point an announcement for this game would be gloriously massive. Like tear-a-rip-in-reality huge.
@Root
Here's the rough translation.
"BAAAWWWW YOU LIKE NINTENDO BAAWWWWWW!!!!"
EDIT: Ha! Phantom disagree already. Man, you never fail Root. Never once do you fail.
But seriously, stop complaining about me defending Nintendo. Hell, my last three blog posts were more critical of them. I'm a Nintnedo fan; I have positive things to say about them and their games; last I checked, that's not a crime.

The GCN is one of the lowest selling major consoles in history and yet that console was profitable. Care to explain why that didn't end their hardware run right then and there?
Also Sega had a string of nasty hardware failures that cost them a ton of money. Nintendo had no such string and most, if not all of their consoles have been profitable (the only notable exception being the Virtual Boy).
Oh yes. The Last of Us is going to be one friggin' beast of a game. That will surely send the PS3 off with a bang. Hopefully we'll see sales increases around that time.
I think the loss of EA will hurt at least a little bit, so simply denouncing it is a little silly in my opinion. But having Sega exclusively could help soften that blow. There are lots of Sega fans out there and the Sonic series in particular falls right into Nintendo's nostalgic, family friendly alley.
"Or better yet why doesn't Nintendo do something about it?"
I'm guessing you missed the news about Nintendo's multi-game deal with Sega?
I really don't think it's that they believe EA (unless there are that many Battlefield fans on this site). When I pointed out that this came off as nothing but bitter, I was told by at least three people how immensely and profoundly wrong I was and had at least three awkward variants of the term "Nintendo fanboy" thrown at me for it.
Whatever. I think whatever the spin, you're on the dime about people enjoying their opinions being validated, even if it i...
