This game might have 2D gameplay. You never know.
Well, at least all of the duplicates are good news for a change. I wonder if Nintendo is aiding in development at all. A friend of mine told me that posters on NeoGAF stated Retro is helping with this game. If that's true, I'm actually genuinely excited.
I wouldn't call the last gen Colors or Generations games abominations (if not slightly overrated), but I think this game could be something. There's potential here; a lot damn more potential than Unleashed or '06. Now THOSE games are abominations!
Well, you know what they say; money speaks louder than any vendetta ever will.
Should the Wii U sales climb as you say, we may see a different attitude from EA as well as other developers. But first those sales need to climb before anything else and right now that is the big thing Nintendo should focus on.
Screw Gamestop.
I was worried it would be like Super Mario Bros. U where the differences would be nearly unnoticeable. But thankfully this definitely does look better than the Wii games. I feel they could have detailed the visual further but, eh. It's not like this series was the pinnacle of stellar visuals on the Wii either.
@D_RoyJenkins
N4G logic.
"Nintendo why don't you get more exclusive games?!"
Nintendo gets exclusive games.
"Damn you Nintendo! Now I can't play them on my favorite console! You suck!"

Cry me a river. I didn't hear anyone complaining when Sonic Colors was exclusive to Wii and DS. Gamers can be so unbelievably fickle. Damned if they do, damn...
I think he owns neither a 3DS nor a Wii U and doesn't want to pony up for either to get this Sonic game.
Sucks to be him I guess. If this game is anything like Colors, it will probably never lose its exclusivity.
So... I'm guessing you knew about the Sega announcements? Or Super Luigi U's price? Or Wonderful 101's release date?
Come on, the big announcements are already slated for the E3 Directs. Calm down.
@Axonometri below
Why would they show something to excite fans before E3? It was announced eons ago that Nintendo was going to have E3 Nintendo Direct conferences. Obviously that's where the bigger announcements will be.
The Direct left me wanting more but we already know that more is coming from Nintendo before and during E3. I thought no MASSIVE announcements was a no-brainer.
Yeah, Nintendo's attitude is so bad with software they're putting out three Wii U games in August.
EDIT: @D_RoyJenkins
Three games from one company is not a lot? One of which being a full length Pikmin game? Are you serious? Nintendo's also putting out Zelda Wind Waker HD in September, possibly another 3D Mario game in October, we have the Wonderful 101 coming out around the end of Summer, not to mention the massive slew of 3DS games that are rele...
It's the same amount of content as Super Mario Bros. U. So technically it's a second game inside of the first. You just now have the option to buy it separately. I'm personally going for the DLC since I have a feeling the disc could be priced differently.
Yup. I'll stick with the DLC. But the package version is a nice alternative for anyone who doesn't have the game I guess.
Give me Sonic running away from a pissed off T-Rex and I'll buy it day one.
EDIT: And I wish for Sonic to be voiced by Jeff Goldblum.
Probably September. Nintendo habitually releases games later in the UK.
EDIT: Whoops, my bad. I derped on my comment.
Oh well. It's Platinum Games' title. I guess they wanted to go after the UK market first.
Three games in August? Sheesh Nintendo. Better make that the "The Month of Wii U" during the "Year of Luigi".
$20? That's not bad for a full-length DLC expansion. I was honestly expecting $30.
Yeah, they're so abusive. They're so mean to their fans for letting them continue to do exactly what they've been doing with their IPs and content.
Also SEGA spent a lot of time outright removing videos and leaving strikes on peoples' accounts.
It's not even that. From what I understand this won't even affect all Nintendo related uploads. Just videos featuring certain games at a certain length.
For example, it probably won't hurt game videos of Super Metroid. But it would probably affect a Let's Play of Zelda Wii U when it comes out.
We don't know the specifics yet so I wish people would stop freaking out with their knee-jerk reactions. As Phil32 said, they could be removing vide...
Looks about as good graphically as an HD Mario & Sonic game should.
To be fair, these Olympic games are never very deep. They are simplistic and obviously catered to kids. Not that that's a bad thing, but a deeper Mario/Sonic experience would definitely be appreciated in my book.
