Don't forget Metro and Arkham Asylum. What's good about these ports is they are an opportunity for Nintendo fans who missed out to try these new titles.
These ports may also have new features not present in their 360/PS3 counterparts.
Makes sense. We didn't know the Wii could do online like in Mario Kart and Monster Hunter. We didn't know the GCN could run a game like Resident Evil 4. We didn't know the N64 could render Conker's Bad Fur Day. Nintendo always leaves surprises to be discovered.
I don't make a whole lot of money. $300 for a handheld is simply not something I can afford right now. If I want a Vita, but can't get one for the price, then who are you to judge?
Nintendo's pretty good with two of those three things.
1. Price
3. Console reliability
Launch titles, yeah, not always the best. But I'm sure Nintendo knows to make this thing affordable and well manufactured. The Gamecube was more durable than the Xbox and as far as I know, the Wii didn't suffer from "Blankety-blank of Death" like its competition.
That just leaves launch games. They are actively pursuing 3rd par...
No, but I'm entitled to it as you are to yours. Sorry that this offends you.
@yabhero
The Wii U is a console. They just give you the ability to play it like a handheld. Being a handheld and being like one are two different things.
Might be an attempt to make the two more integral. We already know that the two devices will be compatible and the 3DS might even serve as a controller for the Wii U.
I haven't met anyone who thinks it's bad. I just think it's too expensive. I already have a 3DS for gaming needs. I don't need to use $300+ dollars to get everything needed for a Vita. Once they slash the price, I'm good for it.
The Miis have formed their own lineup of games with the "Wii" titles. Wii Sports, Wii Play and Wii Sports Resort for example.
Nintendo does not need new characters. They simply need some focus on some of the ones that are dormant at the moment. New Star Fox, F-Zero, Pikmin and Mother. Until then, I don't want to see a great deal of original material from them.
And even then, they are still publishing new IPs, particularly on the eShop. Pushmo an...
"Nintendo is a company that caters to kids and moms, little girls, and grandparents."
That's why Smash Bros. Melee and Brawl were rated T and why Nintendo personally licensed Resident Evil 4 TWICE, right?
The Conduit is not Nintendo. Pikmin, Pushmo and Sakura Samurai are. And by the way, the second and third game I mentioned made the top of the eShop charts. Shovelware my ass.
Despite their financial loss being less than half of Sony's; go figure.
I thought it was confirmed that the screen supports 720p?
That seems like a fairly small reason to or to not buy a console. Either way, I've heard this new hardware is meant to be very open and easy. It would not surprise me if Nintendo announced that it was region free.
Agreed. Though I would blame Sakurai as oppose to Nintendo. Brawl was primarily his vision, just as Metroid Other M was Sakamoto's.
If Nintendo Network is any indication, the Wii U will be better. Whether it matches/passes its competition remains to be seen, but we know for sure that it will be better than what Nintendo has on the Wii.
And goddamn it, give me my New Super Mario Bros. and Kirby co-op game with online play.
Actually no. How about you try again since I'm right. Metroid Prime was not a first person shooter, it's been referred to as a first person adventure. Want to know why? Because just like the older games, the combat was primarily spaced out between smaller enemies and bosses.
The bulk of the game was about upgrades and exploration, two things suspiciously missing from Other M. My point is that Retro designs their games very well to fit the way a certain franchise is me...
It's already confirmed to be more powerful than what's already on the market. We just don't know if it's a great or small difference in power.
Don't forget that the PS2 was somewhat weaker than the GCN and Xbox.
I don't enjoy dedicating myself to just one platform. That's why I have Steam, 360, PS3 and Wii. That way I miss out on nothing.
Actually you can strafe and shoot with any play style. Using the circle pad or the gyro controls lets you strafe and aim at the same time.
So how many people will blast me for saying that there are not many games on the Vita's lineup that I care for or don't already own a version of on my PS3?
