Not gonna lie, this comment comes off as very close-minded.
Give me Melee's engine and special features with Brawl's roster plus newcomers and a return from Mewtwo and alternate costumes (Dr. Mario and different suits for Samus).
Palette swaps are okay, but alternate costumes (like for Wario) would be the shit.
Over a hundred dollars? Are you fucking high or just incapable of doing math?
$250 - $80 = $170. Sheesh. Ugh. I have to wonder which idiots gave you those two agrees.
Here's the toss-up; when you relinquish the pad of portability, you make up for it by providing buttons.
I don't know about you, but I don't know a single core gamer that doesn't hate the iDevices for their lack of buttons.
Wonderful list. I would also personally recommend Mighty Switch Force, Sakura Samurai and Dillon's Rolling Western. All great and unique games with new ideas and characters.
I wonder how you can justify such a statement. Unless the demo is really shit, I can't see it hurting sales of the games it would be representing.
I guess a "bloody/gritty" type of thing is what they want from Nintendo, and I say no. This industry is dominated by games like that already.
Nintendo is very good at what they do and I would ask them to do what works for their development cycle. If you want mature games, buy the next CoD, Battlefield, Gears of War, Killzone, etc.
They moved it to Wii U, not unlike how they moved Twilight Princess from the Gamecube to the Wii.
How about some of Nintendo's 3DS franchises? I think Dillon's Rolling Western and Kid Icarus Uprising if fleshed out on an HD console.
I'm a core gamer and I buy most of Nintendo's games and rarely ever give them away. Everyone has different tastes and while I don't fault you for your opinions on Nintendo or their financial stability, I think you trying to speak for core gamers is fucking smug.
I see no issue with the cap. I've never played a demo more than five times before (unless it was a multiplayer beta/demo of some kind).
I think it's a non-issue made from nothing, especially since a demo is nothing more than a slice of a game that is made available to get you to buy the full release.
That would make sense. It would also strengthen the "GTAV on Wii U" rumor.
-sigh- You don't know that for a fact.
Unreal 3 was down-scaled for the current consoles, so they suggested 4 could be down-scaled for the Wii U. Game footage of the Unreal run Aliens game suggests that it can run Unreal 3 quite well.
Pikmin came out fairly early in the Gamecube's lifespan. It was released alongside strong names like Luigi's Mansion (another original, albeit spun off from Mario), Rogue Squadron II and Smash Bros. Melee.
Would be nice, but what new IP is something that "the fans" really wanted them to do?
They've published a number of new IPs since the year 2000. But here are just a few that are VERY new. Like this year new.
-Pushmo
-Sakura Samurai
-Dillon's Rolling Western
Boom. Three right there. All published by Nintendo and available on their eShop.
Doesn't Mario Kart 64 technically count as core too?
And I agree. None of these rumors sound outrageous. In fact, a couple of them have been rumored before.
Psst! Don't forget Pikmin 3!
Funny thing, there's another, slightly more recent article posted here suggesting that UE4 could be scaled down to work on the Wii U because its hardware "meets industry standards." The article even suggested that it could theoretically be scaled down even more so for 360 and PS3 but won't because those consoles are aging and therefor such an action is unneeded.
Either way, Unreal is already running on Wii U with that new Alien game. Who knows? Only time wil...
Obvious troll is obvious, that's what. This was definitely made for attention grabbing. It wreaks of it.
