@Lukas
Well the Wii U is a generation 8 console.
@PrimeGame
"I am pretty sure I have seen you in the Vita section before when the Vita did sell better."
Shall I respond to your clearly very accurate memory with links to comment history then?
"Why not just give the same treatment to good sales period though?"
Because that's exactly what I have done.

Ooh. Very cool. Portal, one of my favorite games on a handheld from my favorite publisher... works for me!
"God forbid some people want a company to do better ;)"
You are a lying troll.

Man, this comment absolutely WREAKS of dishonesty and butthurt. And I'm going to explain how right now.
"I hate to even bring this up"
Sure you do.
"but you never see Misaka_x_Touma or PopRocks359 in these articles."
Well considering I just moved to a new apartment, I wasn't all that inclined to leave many comments today. But since you noticed my absence, here I am.
Isn't using dungeon ideas on a remake a tad wasteful? Why not save those ideas for newer games in the series?
It's a Zelda game. In fact it's a remake of one of the most well received Zelda games in history. And considering that the original was on the GCN, which not a whole lot of people bought, I'm willing to believe that this is a good opportunity for newcomers to experience the game as well as veterans to jump into while they wait for the next Zelda.
So no, I don't believe they chose the wrong one.
Shokio already provided historical facts to support the idea that X will look even better when it is finalized.
Go look up early tech demo footage of Xenoblade Chronicles, then look at the final product. I guarantee you will be very surprised.
Because they like Nintendo games over Sony games? That's usually my reason. And I happen to like a lot of Sony games.
I don't get what the point of your response is. The Vita had a spike as well recently. And I would assume the Vita has sold more considering it's been out a lot longer than Wii U. As for Wii U's sales increase, I have to wonder what sort of effect Zelda and Mario will have. Not to mention Mario Kart come spring of next year.
Also, do you have a link to the figure saying sales are down again? I've heard that the sales spike affected Japan and America and read a...
Why do I get the feeling you're looking through stained glass?
PCs only outclass consoles when people know what they are doing with them. The problem with PC gaming is it can be complex and anything but user intuitive. Not to mention the amount of things that can go wrong. Consoles are usually there to get away from those gripes.
As for exclusives, I won't doubt there are many exclusives, but not many that I can say I personally care for, especially since many of the indie games out there (once the bread and butter of PC gaming's...
Depends on the game. Exclusives like Halo, InFamous and Mario? Very significant.
Exclusives like Blinx, Haze and Steel Diver? Not so much.
Monster Hunter 4 is exclusive to 3DS.
@AbortMission
But for some reason you cited Pikmin 3 and Wonderful 101 in a manner that suggests you're saying the games have sold poorly.
"Like Pikmin 3 and 101 Lol don't get carried away."
That's a bit condescending (not to mention inaccurate) considering that Pikmin 3 in particular managed to push Wii U sales and has sold fairly well. And then when someone calls you out on it, you backpedal and claim "all I said ...
This probably means there could be a first person combat mode for the next Zelda, which would be interesting. I just hope the series maintains its usual fantasy and charm.
I remember Amazon offered the game for $50 a ways back. Hopefully Nintendo will take up such an idea and slash the price on the eShop. Not sure if I'll download it myself though since I already saved some money specifically for the game and because I want that shnazzy box art.
He's just that hateful of Dennis Dyack and his team. Apparently they are all pedophiles because one of them was a closet kiddy porn creep and it's perfect ammo for MasterCornholio and others to sling more unnecessary mud at the team.
It's stupid, it's hateful and it's nothing but backwards and counterproductive. Let this team make their games.
"The Wii U has not been doing well. Sales have been dismal"
In all fairness, since Pikmin cam out it start doing a lot better (not great, but better). But yeah, better marketing from Nintendo would certainly help the situation improve further. They need to distance it away from the Wii as best as they can. Perhaps a Kevin Butler-esque character would suffice?
The man gave us Metal Gear (like ten of them, in fact) and the Zone of the Enders games. Reason enough for me. Happy Birthday Mr. Kojima!
