Welp, that's it ain't buying it now. Totally unacceptable guys. TOTALLY. FRIGGIN'. UNACCEPTABLE.
Even I will agree, using the Wii moniker again was a mistake. Nintendo needs to seriously push the distinction between Wii and Wii U for this holiday season. Wii2 would probably have been a better name, or something without Wii in it altogether.
Ah crap. Sorry for the double post, guys.
Better specs only offer the potential for better games, not a guarantee. Frankly I don't give a damn about how great Battlefield 4 looks. I care about how Kingdom Hearts III plays. Sometimes specs can play into that, but that has a lot more to do with programming and level design than anything else. It's why there are games in the NES that are hailed as masterpieces and there are games in generation seven that are considered trash.
Look no further than the Sonic serie...
I was hopeful that this would have been fully funded by now, but honestly considering how unknown and niche the series is, it's a wonder it's made it this far this quickly in spite of Mighty No. 9's Kickstarter.
For those who wondering btw, Bozon did an interview with Destructoid and said apparently WayForward had had no idea that Inafune had setup his Kickstarter (even laughed at lunch at such a thing happening and ruining their own crowdfunding launch). I think ...
@DragonKnight
I have to disagree there. You have to consider what Nintendo accumulates with both hardware and software. Their consoles are typically sold at a profit with few exceptions and of course they make money on software as well.
If you insist they will make more money by going software only, you are leaving out the fact that 1) they are now no longer making money off of hardware and 2) are now paying licensing fees to their competition, therefor makin...

You heard it right here from N4G's very own Shad0wRunner, folks! Piracy! It's the COOL thing for the industry! Available on PCs everywhere.
In other news, major game studio closes after suffering massive losses and dwindling profits.
Already confirmed to not be using the Gamecube game's assets. This is made entirely on the engine they are developing/have developed for the newer Zelda Wii U game.
I think a remake qualifies if it's a game being made from the ground up. Since Wind Waker uses brand new assets and nothing from the original Gamecube game, it can be objectively called a remake. A remaster more or less takes the original game and makes it new again, sort of like Halo Anniversary (I think, not sure about this one) or a Sony HD collection.
The terminology seems to become a little more and more confusing as these games come out lol.
I should keep a tally of these.
"That is a load of BS, in fact the very comment you replied to was stating the fact that better specs allow developers to do much more with there gamess."
Correction; it offers the POTENTIAL for better games. Better specs mean absolutely nothing if a dev is rushed or is just downright terrible. It's why I hold WayForward games in much higher regard than any Battlefield, Call of Duty or other super popular shooting games that I'm supposed to fondle myself ove...
I can get behind a lot of points here. Nintendo doesn't push hardware boundaries, that much is true. But they are a very stellar game developer. The truth of it is a lot of their actions this past year has put their console into a nasty rut; there's no getting behind that.
This blog is one of the few that seems to approach the matter critically but very objectively. It's not the same stupid "it's not selling well because of poor specs" or "Wii U...
Ugh, finally.
@ThePsychoGamer
I am a fanboy for speaking the truth? As if anyone (for the most part) bring specs in regards to anything that involves gameplay. Most people are all about textures, model detail and other aspects that may make a game look better but in actuality has little to do with them playing better.
It falls in line with what I said, just because a military shooter has photorealistic graphics does not mean I will be inclined to play it and that's the...
There is a double standard yes. Nobody complained about Halo Combat Evolved being remade, and the multiplayer was just recycled from Halo Reach. Sony HD collections are a collection of games per disc, but those are only resolution upscales with trophy support.
Not trying to say any of those are bad, but if those are good deals then how is this a scam? I can only acknowledge some peoples' complaints about it being sold for more than $40. Beyond that, I don't know what ...
I wouldn't say Rayman 1 or 2 were anywhere near the caliber of Mario World, 64 or Galaxy. But that's just me. Legends is debatable, but honestly I question how many people would have truly cared for it if it had not gone multiplatform.
@libroRX
DS is the best selling dedicated handheld/portable platform. It barely missed beating the bar set by the PS2 by a few hundred thousand. So you're not too far off, but your info is not entirely accurate.
Of course, for anyone who outright hates Nintendo, the DS was probably a failure to them too.
"But it's a GC port and a scam!"
I was gonna say, they took one of the best looking games of generation six and made it look even better and applied new gameplay and social mechanics to it.
It begs the question how anyone can call this a port and not a genuine remake. Last time I checked the GCN game didn't have a first person combat mode, Hero Mode out of the box or visuals this good looking.
The longest running game company/the creators of SNES and the Wii/Nintendo?
No. Possibly last place again, but irrelevance? Nah.
