I guess you can get one now.
"Oh really, Those are are the games that come to mind? Why not The Last of Us? Or Gran Turismo?"
So basically it's okay to laugh if a Nintendo IP tanks, but if Twisted Metal or God of War don't sell well it's no longer fair game because you bought The Last of Us?
Double standard much?
Newsflash, I bought TLoU as well. I also bought New Super Mario Bros. U, which is one of the better selling Wii U games.
@LOL_WUT
Wow, way to take my words out of context, you insufferable troll. I still think the game will be great and I still intend to purchase it myself on the first day regardless of how well it does overall.
All I am saying is Nintendo clearly did not have much faith in the game performing well in Japan.
Hey community, do you see why I call this ingrate a liar, yet? Also awesome agree/disagree ratio. You guys are indulging a troll for corn&...
^Well said.
You know, I saw a lot of people say "How could Nintendo only ship 30,000 units of W101?! Do they WANT it to fail?"
Seems like it wasn't going to sell there no matter what and Nintendo knew it.
Good. I'd play it if/when it happens.
None too fond of the minor delay, but at least it gives Wonderful 101 some breathing room in the US. Rayman will probably sell better too.
Adding more HDD space would have increased the price of the console. Sony's console offers more, but it's being sold for less than its worth.
To the Wii U's credit, it offers a variety of storage alternatives. Obviously there's the flash memory, it supports external drives and SD cards. It's not practical out of the box, but I personally appreciate them keeping the price low in favor of letting consumers pick their own storage and keeping proprietary stora...
There was this REALLY long Reddit post back in the day talking about the rumor back before the Wii U was even close to release.
The rumor suggested EA was actually helping Nintendo develop a better online infrastructure and was going to even provide netcode and server assistance. The thing they wanted in return was to essentially make the Wii U an Origin machine. On the one hand, they would have provided a lot of games for Wii U, but on the other, Nintendo obviously didn'...
That was... unexpected. I wonder how this will impact the console and its library. Personally I'd prefer to see less games like Angry Birds and more games like the HD versions of Phoenix Wright and The World Ends With You.
It's the rise of costs as well. Publishers keep trying to make games look bigger, better and badder (lol 80's lingo) and this leads to AAA games costing more to make.
Look at Square Enix's reboot of Tomb Raider. That game sold over three million copies and it STILL was not profitable. This is a growing trend in the industry and something has to happen to keep it from going further down a road where good devs and publishers are closing their doors.
...
Some games are. But it would be great if game prices were a little closer to that of DVDs and Blurays. People would be far more inclined to get more games in that scenario.
@Donnieboi
It's difficult to say. I would imagine it's because EA wanted something Nintendo was not prepared to give. It supports that age old rumor that EA intended to have Origin be the sole online network for Wii U which, from a console maker's perspective, is not a very effective approach. This would mean trying to put Activision games on the network (as well as any other publishers' games that may not have an interest in Origin) practically impossible. <...
Well that's great for Ouya owners. I bought the game during the Steam sale though. I hear it's a masterpiece, though I have yet to start playing.
Notice an article of this kind gets about a fraction of the heat that the usual "The Wii U is Doomed!" article seems to get.
It's Super Mario 3D World. Just like how the gameboy games were Super Mario Land and the SNES game was Super Mario World.
Well that and Twilight Princess hasn't been around long enough to justify a remake lol. Ten years seems like a fine sweet spot to me. Now, fast forward to Nintendo's next machine, which should wind up being more similar to the PS4/Xbox One or better, THEN count me in for a Twilight Princess remake. Heaven knows, the graphics for that game could have been better.
If you lower the brightness a little and put it on power saving mode, it gets about that much yeah. I have to wonder how long this battery will output with those settings though.
I'm going to say maybe around nine to ten hours? That's just an optimistic guess though. I'd have to see for myself.
You could technically import this. I'm pretty sure the rechargeable Wii remote batteries worked in other regions as well.
I personally didn't think they had to, but obviously Nintendo did and it will definitely make the console more competitive in sales. Now we have to wait and see how it goes down during the holiday.
