As a Nintendo fan, I think it's fair to say your advice and assessment is right on the nail. If you don't want more than a few games at least for a console, you shouldn't get it.
"But Pixar is not reflective of what sells in the movie industry"
Pixar films are almost universally successful, critically, financially and with general audiences. How is that not reflective of what sells in the movie industry?
"I'm sorry if you see logical debate as "throwing a hissy fit"
Actually I'm referring to the few times you've gotten antsy about it.
"Wii U's growth simply isn't anything like PS3's or 3DS's. Azure compares them in every other one of his blogs, and I challenge it."
Your approach is basically just to yell "DON'T COMPARE THOSE THINGS" and cite specific points that only partiall...
I know! :D
*Shrug* Just calls it as I sees it, same as you apparently. Well that and I don't throw a hissy fit when someone compares Wii U to the PS3 or 3DS and their early low performance.
I certainly don't think it's done for. May not be a roaring success, but I think it will sell decently now that the price is lowered and games are coming out.
*Ahem* I welcome all the inevitable phantom disagrees.
"It's still not doomed. We get it, Azure."
Do you?
Or you can take back all the occasions you claimed the Wii U will never sell better.
Outselling another platform by 2 million units with a 1+ year head start is not saying much. Just saying. Vita's not selling that much either unfortunately. Comparisons like that are fairly pointless.
What does Reggie's nationality have to do with anything?
lol Pretty much. Lots of ignorant and angry commenters here. And it's hardly like Reggie went out of his way to bash anyone. The idiot journalist sure as hell got his "juicy story" though.
Wonderful 101 is a new and original IP and Pikmin 3 is a sequel to a game from almost a decade prior. There you go.
@Shad0wRunner
Wow, you really hate anyone who likes Nintendo, don't you. How you still have five bubbles is seriously beyond me.
Seriously. Consoles are not about specs. PCs are since they are not relegated to their launch hardware and can be upgraded.
Nah, he's just a troll. Quite literally, most if not all of his comments in Wii U articles start with "Wii U is dead" or some lame variant of the phrase. Check his comment history if you don't believe me.
Just bubble him down and be done with it.
Oh dude, don't get me wrong. You're make some excellent points. Fact is it is not selling well when it should be a hot seller right now. This price drop can ONLY help it sell in the long run.
Trust me, I don't think every decision Nintendo makes a good one. For example, dat 2DS...
Gotta disagree man. A dual-screen game console that can't fold and close? I have to wonder what the heck Nintendo was thinking on that one. It's only strength is being really cheap.
I hate to say it, but I kind of have to agree. The only real plus to this device is it's very a cheap for a dedicated gaming device. I think it's meant to be for small kids, but other than that...
It's a dual-screen device that can't be folded closed! It's definitely extremely bulky looking lol. I'll be sticking with my XL.
Meh. I got quite a few classic games for next to nothing in dollars. The $50 I spent during launch is one I don't regret all that much (that and I've also had that digital 10% rebate thing that came with the Deluxe version).
I don't believe the console needed a price cut, but it is what it is and it can only help it sell.
The name is probably part of the confusion involving people believing the Gamepad is a Wii peripheral. Is it the sole cause? No; there are lots of factors why Wii U has not sold well, not just one.
Marketing can fix or at least help move past the name issue, that's for sure.
