What?! How is it the customer's fault if the console fails?
I would argue that Nintendo consoles are usually fairly reliable and there are measures to help make the replacement process easier (Club Nintendo keeps a record of your downloads). But that risk really is still there.
That's still a problem and it's still not on par with the competition which lets you just retrieve your account and get your downloads no p...
Oh wow. Thanks man! :)
As of now it's over $1 million! AH! So excited. :)
Good blog. Really glad someone chose to spread the word on this game! I've already pledged $20. I really hope it's a success. :)
It felt like this score was meant for a game you described as "Average."
Since a 5/10 would pretty much be described as average, the score fits the review. I personally would have given it a few more points. It's a solid gameplay experience that is just riddled with some flaws.
No, it just means that 3D, whether it be in gaming, TV or film, has always been a gimmick. You know what drew me into the 3DS? Nintendo games. And I can sure as hell tell you that 3D didn't influence my choice to get a PS3 either.
It's a matter of preference.
If you don't care for anything other than the games than the original is probably best for you. If you're like me and want games on a sizable screen, then there's the XL. Finally if you want to get one for your child who is really young and may not be able to take 3D effects, then get the 2DS.
It depends on which one is best for you. Just my thoughts at least.
Thinking a console will sell better after recent developments is damage control? I thought damage control was when you defend something that's clearly awful.
Which is ironic because I would argue there has been just as much, if not more reverse damage control where people saw bad in the Wii U where there was none. For example, I got tons of disagrees and bubble downs and was called a fanboy for saying Wii U would support Unreal Engine 4. Lo and behold, it supports it. It ...
"the only advantage that I had in my 9 month head start compared to someone who buys the Wii U right now at a $50 discount is one fucking Mario game!?"
So I guess you missed out on those $.30 Virtual Console games and a year long 10% rebate on eShop purchases? I'm just saying, those were decent perks for early adopters.
Well poop. It better be for SOMETHING.
The more, the merrier, as they say.
Look at my comment above. I got a number of disagrees for saying exactly that lol.
I thought it was pretty dumb at first, but that's because it doesn't cater to me. This is literally a device meant for very young children. In that regard, I respectfully ignore the platform. My XL works just fine for me and this is not a bad alternative for parents who want to get a version of this thing for their kids.
Edit: Specifically in regards to your comment, I think you're right. People really are making a mountain out of a molehill on this one.
Don't forget you get that shnazzy gamepad and a free digital copy of Hyrule Historia. It's a fantastic package for anyone who wants a Wii U and missed out on Wind Waker and/or that book.
I'd get it, but since I already have a Wii U and a physical copy of the book, I'mma just stick with the Limited Edition. Ganondorf figure, here I come!
'Lower resolution graphics,' eh? I had no idea that 3D impacted the resolution so significantly. Good show, Yahoo! You clearly have done your research! *slow clap*
It was not instantaneous, but basically anyone who had gotten online and used the eShop app were given an Ambassador ticket in their 3DS and were given ten NES games and ten GBA games all for free. I've yet to play through them all myself, but I'm glad I made the jump before the cut. I still have yet to finish some of those games.
3DS' price cut was within less than half a year and the drop in question was $70. Nintendo followed up by basically giving early adopters that much value back in downloadable classic games.
I guess you could say that early Wii U owners' Ambassader Program is being able to buy the promotional Virtual Games at $.30. Other than that though, Basic models have been unfortunately screwed over here.
You say "Meh" to free classic games? Standards brah. o.o
"but Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami royally screwed his series over when he made Resident Evil 4."
Uhh, no. He saved it with the most successful installment in the series to date. It's not his fault Capcom took the gameplay style he thought up and butchered it beyond compare, taking out every last chill and replacing it with Gears of War-esque gameplay and action. At least RE4 could be identified as an action-horror game like F.E.A.R.
Been saying this forever. The game has far too much competition across all platforms right now. Who knows what the numbers are right now, all I can tell you is the Wii U version at least would have sold much better had it released back in February.
