@jakmckratos
Right and the new levels and power-ups in Mario do... what exactly? I don't recall seeing a flying squirrel costume in New Super Mario Bros. on the DS.
With Angry Birds it is still pull back, aim, let loose. Same formula with minor tweaks. Same difference there.
"Im not trolling"
I stopped reading after this point. Good day.
The Vita has a number of the same features as the 3DS. In fact, I'd say the 3G is a colossal rip-off due to the uselessness of the 3G feature and its long term cost.
It isn't fair to knock Nintendo's hardware when there is some great content on the 3DS and (in my opinion) not so much on the Vita right now.
Couple this with a starting price of $250+ and the memory cards and you have to question the investment if you're not a diehard Sony fan. ...
I think it depends on the circumstances. Mine's been going longer than an hour but my friend got through it in around twenty minutes.
EDIT: While I know it fixes some technical issues, I am curious as to what exactly this update does.
@LaWiiG
Does that really increase the connection speed? My PS3 has been wirelessly connected to my router and has almost never given me the issues my Wii gave me (no real issues outside of these slow updates...
That's doubtful. People cried foul about the 3DS when its price dropped as well, and the Vita was initially being sold at a loss.
The doom and gloom articles really won't stop (as others have already stated), people are too hungry for attention and clicks.
@FriedGoat
Technically the same argument can be used for any repetitively designed franchise. Madden, Assassin's Creed, Angry Birds, just about any popular first person shooter franchise, etc.
Just because it's 'samey' doesn't mean it can't be fun.
Really? That would be freaking amazing, but... how? That seems so improbable and random.
Actually yeah, this is definitely up Valve's alley.
Downloading the update right now. And no sadly, no cute animation with this one. All we get is a blue wheel. I also am saddened to report that the update is going by pretty slowly too.
Oh well. I'm browsing about and doing some studying in the meantime. If the update changes the system for the better, then it'll be worth it.
The userbase of the 360 took years to accumulate. N4G users are giving the Wii U nothing but a handful of months.
What are people's expectations exactly? I suppose the Wii U is also expected to blow you and prepare you drinks during loading screens.
Based on what, launch titles (most of which are current generation ports) or analyses done by random hackers? How about giving the console its due time before writing it off graphically?
This is one of those rare times where I will say something more critical; it's a massive bummer that games are STILL tied to the system as oppose to the online account.
Unless Nintendo thought of a robust way to get people's data and games into a new console (if need be) this is going to cause a few headaches over the course of the next generation. My hope is that this eventually gets updated, but who knows. Like with the Wii, we may have to wait another five years un...
Mika, please just shut up. You attacked the Wii U rather vehemently claiming how it was weaker than its competition and a game comes out that turns that claim on its side (or at least throws a massive question mark into the equation).
Downloadable game or not, if this system is weaker, why is outperforming with this one game? Why does it outperform with Nano Assault Neo? Why is it allegedly going to outperform with Aliens? Tell me that.
@FriedGoat
Peter Jackson's King Kong The Game was released on the 360 as well as previous generation consoles. Where does that game fit, as well as the 360?
I would hope for any game that uses the classic controller as well as Virtual Console games to use the Gamepad and the Pro controller. May or may not happen, there is no confirmation on it, but I remain hopeful.
Actually Assassin's Creed and Tekken run about on par if not more smoothly than the 360 version from what I understand. Nano Assault Neo also apparently has some graphical features that the 360 and PS3 versions don't and finally Gearbox has stated that the Wii U version of Aliens Colonial Marines will be the best one.
EDIT: To specifically answer your question, the Wii U's excuse is being new hardware with different architecture. If you're given about half a y...
@Jinkies
So the problem is timing. You're aware that the only two older ports are Batman and Mass Effect, right? Almost everything else was released rather shortly before the launch of the Wii U. If we have to get into specifics, games like Assassin's Creed III and Tekken Tag 2 were released a few weeks, a month at most, before the Wii U came out.
@Mounce
My head is up my ass because I consider third party ports to be ports from third...
I think they may patch it. People asked them about things like that and they said that they are "working to change that."
Fingers crossed!
Notice that I never spoke specifically about the article? I'm saying I'm sick of people declaring any platform of being dead barely a year or two into its lifespan. Specifically I'm speaking in general terms.
Calm yourself.
Personally I'd prefer a bundle with the Wii U and 3DS version together, similar to what Sony's doing with some of their cross-compatible Vita titles.
When I was on the eShop last it specifically provides a message stating that people with the basic model cannot download games of that size onto the flash memory and require external storage.
At the very least Nintendo got the message out there it seems.
