Another analysis that no one is going to bother confirming before taking as fact. Hooray.

The day I believe this is the day I believe that Nano Assault Neo doesn't look graphically prettier than about 90% of the XBLA library.

The console is being sold at a loss though.

And besides, the screen is mostly just streaming the content, it's not generating or rendering anything at all.

I'll give you three contradictions there.

Iwata stated that not a single launch game used more than 50% of the Wii U's power for one thing.

Gearbox claims the Wii U version of Aliens Colonial Marines will look the best.

The makers of Nano Assault Neo stated that they were able to do things graphically on the Wii U that they could not on the 360 or PS3.

How about you wait for some Wii U games that are built from the ground up as oppose to current generation ports that were developed in less than a year?

4963d ago 3 agree2 disagreeView comment

Why did this suddenly become an issue when the Wii U did it?

4963d ago 6 agree6 disagreeView comment

You're angry over a one time fee of $1.22...? For an app on the Wii U? A charge, by the way, that may only apply to Japan?

Actually that isn't true at all. Here's a list of games that feature Mario in them.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...

Click on platform and look at all the Wii games listed. It only goes up to about 18, and it counts games like Smash Bros. and Dr Mario Online Rx.

@pixelsword

Actually no, I'm not narrow-minded enough to believe that. However, I'm aware some people say it. And I think it's a little hypocritical when they do.

Before someone knocks me for it, I love the Ratchet games. But they've been releasing one each year lately. Yeah, Mario releases more if you count Kart, Party and the sports games, but if we're talking about the primary platformers then Mario releases significantly less per gener...

Well, if we're going by main platforming games as oppose to spin-offs that aren't even developed in house, it's important to note that there's been a Ratchet almost every consecutive year. Mario has at most two per console generation.

Dude, you got a bubble from me. That was funny as hell.

Plus... it's less than $2.

It's less expensive than the DLC for New Super Mario Bros. I mean come on (to everyone who's complaining about the one time fee).

Looks at Mario articles.

"Nintendo releases the same franchises over and over."

Looks at this one.

"Can't wait for the tenth Ratchet and Clank game!"

Man, everything is topsy-turvey around here.

@newmonday

There's more of a focus on core games than there was on the Wii, if only a little bit more. Plus we already know that a Zelda game is coming along with a Retro Studios and a Monolith game. The content is coming, but just like with the 3DS we simply have to play the waiting game.

You have to look at what sets them apart from Sony and Microsoft. Sony and Microsoft have spent the last two generations trying to outdo each other while Nintendo is off doing their own thing. I suppose some people enjoy poking prods at the black sheep simply for taking a step out of the proverbial box.

You can also throw in that Nintendo's leading franchises don't cross the T rating (usually not even the E rating) and don't really involve blood and guns. Some peo...

Maybe for a while. I reckon things may change when the PS4 comes out. It's honestly too early to tell.

After reading remarks like "Nintendo fans are stupid for liking this" or "This is shit. Fact" or "Only fanboys can like this" and basically any other sort of stupid or demeaning comment of that nature, I'm so surprised that people don't understand WHY a Nintendo fan or fanboy would be naturally defensive.

When do ANY PR guys know when to stop talking? How is this at all new?

4964d ago 8 agree1 disagreeView comment

Why do you WANT something to fail? I thought more competition meant better games and products for us. That is the most obnoxious thing I've ever heard and the fact that you're saying that about a Nintendo console, regardless of the reason is relevant. Were you saying the same thing about a Sony or Microsoft product I'd still feel like smacking you.

Read the article. The title is without context.

The Vita's not even dead yet, you nut. However, I do believe that this game was overall a detriment to the platform. It doesn't need these spinoffs. And it doesn't need PS3 ports either. It needs new and original content. As does ANY platform.
