It's a shame, but then it's not. The Last of Us looks like it has a ton of potential. Yet I am a huge fan of Jak, desperately itching for some HD Jak action.
Definitely a mixed bag, this one, but certainly not bad either way.
Man, someone around here hates honest attention for Nintendo.
Zip it, the Vita is not dying anymore than the 3DS was in its first year. It's simply moving slowly right now.
This is technically older news, but it still excites me. I double-dipped this game because 1) it's an awesome side-scroller and 2) the chance of having more content for FREE. Supporting WayForward if just a humble bonus.
How about 3D remakes of the NES games with a more robust interpretation of the story? Now THAT'S something I'd like to see in HD.
But I do agree, move forward, not backward. Not unless you're celebrating an anniversary of some kind.
The worst console "ever"?
I can understand if people have a less than positive opinion of it, but... really? Worst console ever?
...They just confirmed in this post that it will change.
Besides, they've already confirmed that Nintendo Network and the IDs for them will become more universal (logging in through computers, smartphones, etc.).
If that's the case, why did I buy Darksiders II, Assassin's Creed III and ZombiU with my Wii U? I'm not saying I represent everyone, but the Wii U just came out and there ARE core gamers who bought the Wii U with the intention of playing games on it that are not from Nintendo.
Crazy idea, I know.
The actual Aliens film opted a little less for atmosphere and a little more for action, less like its more horror driven predecessor. If this game can deliver on that the same way then I'll be more than pleased with the end result.
EDIT: Also AvP in general sucks. The movies are shit and I didn't like any of the games for it.
The difference there is Nintendo never released a failure platform aside from the Virtual Boy. You can't really argue that they don't see a market in releasing hardware because their hardware almost always makes a profit.
Never, ever purchase a platform unless you know for certain that there is content you know want to play either now or in the future.
I think if you like classic survival horror, you'll really like it. It's dark, cryptic and pretty challenging. You just have to be able to move past some limited features and technical issues.
"Because they should push their other IPs too and not just rely only on Mario, for a quick buck. ;)"
How do you consider the 3D Mario games, the ones that actually do new things with the platforming formula, as strung together for a quick buck?
Plus, you're talking about relying too much on Mario when many publishers rely on the same IPs each year. I don't see you complaining about that, only Nintendo related ones.
I think for anyone who owns a 360 or PS3 and is not a big Nintendo fan, I understand the "wait and see" sentiment. But right now I don't see any reason to completely write off the hardware.
But... but... it's still Nintendo's fault! Right guys?!
@dantesparda
Are there any glitches that break the game? No.
Minor framerate issues and missing details that you have to go out of your way to look for are considered minor as far as I'm considered.
Also the port was made in less then eight months on a variety of dev kits, you moron.
"How about just getting it for an intended console?"
Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't you one of those guys who kept going to 3DS articles saying "Oh I'll just wait for the Vita version of Resident Evil Revelations"?
Mario's about as well known in media as Mickey Mouse. Why wouldn't they push that IP?
Hey ozzy, mind if I see where you get your information or did you just pull a Pachter?
Well just like in Other M, a part of the game wouldn't be utter shit.
I played the demo for this game and I hated almost all of it. The gameplay was okay at best and sub-par at worst. The cutscenes are the only part of the game that occasionally run at 60 frames per second and on top of that the writing is complete shit.
I want nothing to do with this game and Dante's design is the least of my problems with it.
