This is a budget game? That's cool. I've heard very mixed reviews, but for $40 I suppose it's worth a try.
You're absolutely right. If only they could lock down their OS as well as Microsoft. I mean who ever heard of a Windows virus? Those Linux based OS's are just so insecure...
Well when I tried to graduate from the old "Build" engine to the original Unreal engine my head pretty much exploded. I guess what I'm saying is it was goddamn hard. Now that was a long time ago and apparently things have gotten much easier with each iteration of the Unreal engine. So...lol...I don't really know.
Ravinash is right. Talking up the PS3 is great, but we don't need to slam the 360 at the same time. Guys like Zhuk and The Mart do that. I suppose I'm guilty of it too, but only when certain xbots are really getting on my nerves. K...off to try the new maps. See y'all online.
PSN: zollner13.
She's Canadian? K...sold.
Wow. Just wow. I can see people wanting the format war to be over so they can buy themselves a high definition media player with confidence, but why, oh why are people getting so worked up over which format is best? It's like people are getting emotionally invested in a war over some meaningless plastic discs. They're just fancy cd's. Some people shouldn't be allowed on the internet.
The binoculars are my favorite. They're kind of hard to find and I'm the first to admit they're kind of cheap, but it's so satisfying killing like 5 guys with one well placed airstrike.
There are so many hot Asian chicks with martial arts experience...I don't understand why they'd choose her. She's hot and all, but I bet she doesn't know a damn thing about karate or kung fu or whatever it is Chun-Li does. That hot girl that's in a bunch of recent Jackie Chan movies would have been a better choice. I think she's the same girl from House of Flying Daggers.
The PS3 version does support mods. There is one out already and 4 more coming later today...for free. The problem is that the PC version doesn't support creating PS3 mods yet. So technically it's the PC version that will be getting an update. And when the update comes out it's just a question of creating your mod like you would have for the PC and pressing a button to export it in a format the PS3 will recognize. So it is as simple as they say. The game has been out for around a week now and ...
The fanboy wars are getting a little out of control, but reviews are nothing new. Gaming mags have always reviewed just about everything that came out. I think the difference now is we have access to every single review out there through the internet so it's a little more obvious.
Fanboy wars?
We could run around launching Blu-Ray and HD-DVD discs at one another. There would be character skins for Marcus Fenix, Nathan Drake, Master Chief and Sgt. Hale. You win by capturing the other teams bubbles. Sounds pretty awesome.
Ha! Those Christmas grenades kick @ss. If only they would have given him some sort of sweet potato launcher...
Dude N4G is the most up to date gaming site around and there's no arguing that, but if you're looking for intelligent conversation you're in the wrong place. Kotaku isn't bad because they ban people who act like @ssholes pretty regularly. Used to be you had to audition to comment there too. Joystiq and Ripten seem okay...even Destructoid isn't too bad. Anyway, good luck in your little quest, but honestly N4G is what it is. You need to take the good with the bad.
Lol. Bubbles for xsteinbachx because he got screwed out of one.
That's a good question. They can work for the PC version but I don't see how it would work with the PS3 version.
There are a few timeless games from generations past but the majority of games that may have seemed great to us 15 years ago really haven't stood the test of time very well. I think those days are nearing an end, though. Modern PC's and consoles are powerful enough that it's not so much a question of how many polygons you can push, but rather a question of art design and inspiration.
It's kind of like how film struggled for many years do to technological limitations...sound and...
Okay, the people that run SDF are retarded or they think they're being funny...we get that. The real joke here is Zhuk talking about 360 and wii gamers having intelligent, well thought out "discussions" about their gaming habits.
Here's a quote from Zhuk earlier today. It happened to be the first one I clicked on in his bio page I thought it might take me a minute or two to find a perfect example of his blatant, unwavering, borderline fanatic...actually just plain fan...
The games big final plot twist: you've been in Reno all along!
They were talking about restricting some of the "license" mods on the PS3. For instance the Gears mod everyone wants to see or a popular Star Trek mod that a team is working on. I don't see how they can restrict anything if all we need to do is throw a mod on a thumb drive. So it's actually a good thing that they aren't handling these things through PSN. We may just get our Gears or Halo mod.
Weak. I was looking forward to this one. Haven't played through a good single player campaign in an FPS since Resistance. Hopefully they use the extra time to make the game better. I know from a gameplay perspective it's going to be awesome because it's Free Radical, but it would be nice to see some better graphics.
