I wouldn't say the 360 is getting shafted. I mean they still got to play the games, right?
Jesus, the gaming community is jaded. Nothing's ever good enough.
8 out of 10 for TMNT Re-Shelled? I bought that on Live the day it came out and it totally sucks.
I'd like to see a new Strider. They could even do it in HD so long as they kept the gameplay old school.
Lol. I don't think the poor guy's very comfortable with the English language yet. Not really his fault, although perhaps he should hold off on doing video game reviews until he's had a bit more practice.
Lunar must have been one of the very first RPGs I ever played. Can't say as I recall the script very well since I was probably around 10 years old at the time, but from what I hear Working Designs did a great job. Hopefully the new guys do just as well if not better.
Kinda sounds like Bethesda is being a little overprotective, but I suppose I would be too had I invested the kind of money they must have put into the Fallout license.
You're a proud PS3 owner because 150 000 Japanese guys just bought one too? That's a little weird.
Awesome. I've been looking forward to this one a lot and the subscription fee was the one thing in the back of my mind keeping hype levels low. This is great news.
I wouldn't call my 60 gig overcooked, but hopefully they'll realize next time that the Playstation brand isn't strong enough to justify such high prices for a console to most consumers.
It's pretty well established that Braid is an amazing game at this point, but if anyone is still on the fence, allow me to throw my hat in the ring. Braid freaking rules. Go buy it.
Yeah, seriously. If they're unfinished, then get them off my screen. Obviously it's not worth getting all in a tiff over, but you gotta wonder what's going on over at Sony lately. They make some odd decisions.
I think the idea here was to make the friends list easier to see for SDTV users, but I game on an SDTV about 80% of the time and it always looked fine to me. So why not just make the text bigger if they were concerned? Who decided ugly grey boxes were a better solution...
Nice to see a decent NFS game again. There are a few too many racers coming out around now for my tastes, but I suppose competition drives innovation.
I hope this ends up being something pretty sweet. It's been getting a lot of attention all week so people are going to be really bummed if it's something crappy. Rocksteady must have something cool up their sleeves otherwise they'd just announce it already.
I think Trickstyle was my favorite game. That or Soul Caliber, of course, but at least with Soul Caliber we got a decent sequel.
As for the DC, it was great, but I think its premature demise caused a lot of people to remember it a little too fondly. Was nobody angry that they spent all that money only for Sega to drop support after like two years?
They're not making that one in house. I think Rebellion is building it or something.
You only get to hear them track the guy down. It's not like you get to punch him in the face or anything.
Oh yeah, I know there's some great stuff in there, but I don't want to see a deluge of shovelware hitting the PSP just because dev kits are so easy to come by. It's sort of like the wii. Sure, I don't have to buy the shovelware, as an "educated" gamer I don't even have to give it a second thought when I go game shopping, but it still bugs me that it's there.
But yeah, in the end I guess this could be a great thing. I'll put my cynicism to rest for now.
I hope they maintain some sort of quality control if they do this. Sure, it would be nice to have PSP dev kits more readily available to those who wish to make games, but if every Tom, D!ck and Harry who ever took a C++ course gets their hands on one we'll end up with a flood of crap games like the indie section on Xbox Live.
I wouldn't wish for no ground game at all, personally. The bits in a tank were always fun and I recall a level in a submarine in at least one game that was pretty cool as well. It's the no-vehicle sections that sort of suck. Starfox 'Cube (not the abysmal Zelda clone) was loaded with them and they really took a lot away from what could have been a great game.
