Frontline will always be the one I think of when someone mentions a D-Day scene. It may have been done better by a few other games by this point, but it was the first time anyone really did it right, imo.
PSP ports don't take anything away from the console games. They always have a dedicated team working on them. If those guys weren't working on the PSP version the whole team (and their budget) would be devoted to some other project entirely.
Ha ha. Just had to take a little dig at Rising there, eh? What's the point, really?
Wtf is wrong with you guys? They found something they thought was cool, they posted it on N4G and it got approved. Why all the hate? Jesus.
LOUD NOISES!
Maybe the reviewer just didn't have that much fun with it. Is that so wrong?
Darksiders looks awesome, eh? I keep forgetting about that one.
You kidding me? He or she managed to get it posted on the official GAME website. That's a pretty sweet little caper if you ask me.
@1.5: Who told you that? There's no way Sony would absolutely ruin their (arguably) best franchise with bullcrap motion controls for noobs and old ladies. Good god. Just thinking about it makes me cringe. Blech.
*reads synopsis*
Okay, maybe I'm just a little sleepy right now, but I'm fairly certain that didn't make any sense at all.
"...and become, unwittingly, in games of worship, a project that..."
"...has undertaken to qualify appealing to casework over the game immediately known: the saga King's Field..."
Do these phrases mean anything to anyone else here? Obviously they're taken out of context in this comment, but they stru...
@1.1: I think it's a good thing. This is the internet after all, so there's bound to be an overabundance of douchebaggery to go around. At least we won't have to look at it if it's kept to the open zone.
Let them fling virtual poop back and forth.
I think Kojima has too much on his plate atm to go starting another ZOE game. He's overseeing three games that I can think of off the top of my head.
Look at this guy spamming grenades all over the place.
Sweet looking game, though. Looks even faster than COD4, imo.
I dare say the movement showed little to no lag because of the accelerometers in the wands, not the PSEye. From what I understand the PSEye is just there to track the light on the end of the wand and help identify how far away the wand is in relation to the camera. No reason to believe they'd go releasing a new camera, imo. Particularly if that's going to render existing PSEyes useless (for motion controls).
Really? I figured the game would sell well, but I didn't know the hype had reached this level. Who knew people would be lining up to buy it, let alone legions of geeks dressed in rooster hats?
The guys (and gals) over at 5th Cell must be really proud of their weird little creation. Good for them.
Not a chance. The SNES game was a lot of fun at the time, but it just doesn't hold up anymore. I can still go back and play Starfox 64 and have a great time with it. Original Starfox is near unplayable by a modern standard.
Starfox SNES was a great idea, but they just couldn't realize it at the time. Starfox 64 pretty much perfected the formula.
Edit: Same goes for Mario Kart. F-Zero and any other SNES game where they tried to push that old hardware to do 3d stuf...
Agreed then. Fox running around in third person sucks.
Lulz. That made me smile. I love how the original red screen of death even had a typo in it.
Slippy is my #1 most annoying character ever. Hated him since I was a kid. He's worse than Jar Jar Binks, imo.
Edit: I think in Starfox Assault he had taken a desk job so you only had to put up with him during cut scenes.
@Ape007: Interesting ideas, I guess, but your girlfriend/roommate/parents are going to think your some sort of crazy person if you're sitting in front of the TV talking to yourself all the time.
