Waiting patiently for GT5. Very patiently.

Actually, it does look interesting. Looks sort of like a spiritual successor to Monopoly Tycoon, but with more basis from the actual board game...

...Speaking of which, we need a sequel to Monopoly Tycoon. That game was surprisingly fun.

The guy does have one decent point though -- that a majority gamers are all talk and little action.

Think about how many self-proclaimed "first day buys" you or other gamers ended up not actually purchasing. Think about all of the supposedly "hardcore" gamers who go simply for quantity, purchasing/renting lots of games but never finishing them.

It's always funny, as the release of a new game nears, to see the massive amount of hype cr...

Let's be totally honest though, an 8.5 is more than a good enough score for any game.

To tell the truth, I wish I owned a 360 for this game. It seems like a very interesting mystery/survival-horror/advent ure blend... and a focus on story telling, atmosphere, and overall experience! Regardless of scores or console preferences or whatever stupid things people argue over, everybody needs to support a developer that treats a single-player narrative with such care, something ...

And it was also a terrible game. Terrible story, terrible set pieces, terrible gunplay, terrible AI, terrible graphics, etc. etc. etc.

But... It didn't take itself seriously. The whole thing was a non-stop action fest from start to finish with some gruesome gore. So much as shooting a guy in a limb would dismember it. And because it's so satisfying to run through a level slaughtering everything in sight (because the AI is so terrible), I let the game off the hook. I&#...

He means it will likely be a spin-off to flesh out the story, not a GOTY edition of Assassin's Creed 2.

And I'd be inclined to agree. Ezio is a great character and I certainly wouldn't mind getting to explore his story a bit more. It would also be a great opportunity to open Rome up for exploration, which if you remember, was locked off in AC2 (besides the linear mission that took place there).

I'm thinking of something that is technically a ...

How is it terrible? Euphoria is certainly an improvement over ragdolls and an amazing improvement over canned animations.

The collision deformities are also amazing--cars respond accurately to collisions and its likely to never see the same exact deformation more than a couple times.

I don't understand the premise of transitioning a proper sequel from console to handheld. This is going to cut off many consumers who enjoyed the first but don't own a PSP or hardly do any handheld gaming.

If Sony wants to promote the PSP, by all means allow the development of a spin-off/transitional game, but the series proper, including the fully-fledged sequel should remain on the entertainment medium that the original was conceived.

"feeling a little bit down, a little bit harassed by all the pressure, slap this game on and blow some f*****s away, you'll feel better. You'll get an uplift - that's ultimately what we want to do."

So basically, he's saying that his game is going to be nothing but another generic FPS with nothing going for it other than obscene amounts of action. Sorta like Soldier of Fortune: Payback....and we all know how well THAT turned out...

I've long been sick of Need for Speed.

Funny thing is, if the game hadn't been watered down by all the street-racing losers and ricer fans, I would have been easily able to enjoy the series for a much longer amount of the time. I mean, really, what the hell happened? I'm sure that most of Kotaku associates or has at one point associated NFS with exotic environments, exotic cars, and intense races. Now somehow this smorgasbord of amazing has morphed into cheap Japanese cars defile...

...It's one thing to offer small items as downloadable exclusives, but an ENTIRE PROLOGUE? Come on, this is almost as bad as the GTA IV episodes. If these developers think they can cut off such huge amounts of content out from half (or over half) of their install base, then I see no reason to support them. Just as I am not buying the GTA IV episodes solely because of Rockstar's bullsh*t, Dead Rising 2 is now a used buy for me. And this is solely out of principle, because before you know it, w...

This site has been around for a while, but yeah it's amazing, especially when you remember that JC1 had no mod support whatsoever.

I swear, between the amazing base game, mods that are starting to come in, and fan-made multiplayer mode, this game rivals (and beats?!?!) San Andreas in terms of greatness.

So glad I purchased this for the PC--and it runs decently on it, which is amazing considering that my PC isn't exactly top of the line.

What are you talking about? This has nothing to do with console gamers, and I don't believe that Panda was insinuating that console gamers are satisfied with outdated hardware, as you claim.

Anyways, I'm pretty happy with my DX 10 system right now. DX 11 capability would be nice for me to have, but I don't feel that it is as necessary an upgrade as the move from DX 9 to DX 10. That's at the moment though; I have no doubt this will change in the future as more games start making u...

You act as if it's a bad thing that all these "copiers" will start popping up.

All it will do is create new innovations at more affordable prices from new competitors. Believe it or not, Apple is not and will not be the end all be all of the tablet market. Better devices will come along, and not from Apple.

If the other driver is driving well and using good lines to stop you from passing, your theoretical power and weight advantage means jack sh*t.

That or the AI difficulty could have simply been turned down.

It probably doesn't matter seeing as a good chunk of the consumers for this sequel wouldn't have played the first one, because of the exclusivity of the original.
