...Wait... I thought you were a 360 fanboy...
Anyways, great news. I wanted to check this game out.
Damn, the PS3 is getting destroyed. Should make a big comeback by the end of the year hopefully.
I doubt it. Gran Turismo 4 may have been the best looking racer last gen, and I expect no different this gen.
You also have to factor in that GT 5 is going to be released almost 2 years after Race Pro. I doubt graphics are going to be on the level they are this year in 2010.
I consider the console war to be between the 360 and PS3. Sure the Wii may be destroying both of them in terms of sales, but the Wii caters to a different demographoc. Also, if the Wii sells well (well, it already has) it doesn't affect the games coming to the PS3 and 360. However, if the 360 or PS3 sells well and the other doesn't, that will affect the amount and quality of games coming to each system.
So, the battle is between the 360 and PS3 and they are pretty much neck an...
Wow, they actually chose GTA 4 as the longest lasting game? What BS, I haven't touched that in a month. The only fun thing to do after you're done with the story is to run around killing random people, and that gets boring quick.
TechTV was so much better in general, and Xplay was better then as well. It's all gone downhill now.
There is no doubt that this will be one of the best games released in a while, and it will most likely be GOTY, but I don't see how it can change the game industry.
LBP will be an amazing success no matter what, but I am worried about the sales it will get. If I didn't follow websites like N4G and walked into a game store and saw this, I would pass it off thinking it was some kiddie game. Sony better market this game good.
I honestly don't think it will last. The 360 has a plethora of great RPGs that have been released in the past months or will be released. Once these are done, especially when Final Fantasy hits, sales will be back to normal (or PS3 sales will surge in the case of Final Fantasy).
I don't know, it doesn't have me hooked yet. It does look amazing, but something about it is just unappealing to me and I don't know what it is.
Please go to the open zone. You cannot say a game is going to be a flop if you haven't actually played it yet. ESPECIALLY if that game has recieved positive previews from almost any gaming media that has played it, and said game will most likely be one of the best games of 2009.
You obviously have never played Lair, too. As said a above, it was a flop because it required you to use the Sixaxis. And that has been fixed now. Lair was actually fairly good.
Ah, I forgot about the size limits. On that note, why exactly are there size limits? Surely $50 a year from each user is enough to cover costs, especially when the PSN has none and is free.
Size limits definitely can be a huge limiting factor on large games, I agree.
Well, are there requirements on the PSN too? I really doubt they let developers do whatever they want. You need requirements and standards to have good games, and this goes for both services. While it may have hurt the quality of this specific game, that doesn't mean that happens with every game. I'm sure many have actually better by having to meet requirements and standards.
Ugh, she's ugly. That being said, I do like the box art. It's simple and clean.
Halo 3 is very overhyped, and this is the result of all that. A great, but not amazing game(definatly not much of an improvement over the first two) gets GOTY. There are better games on both the 360 and the PS3, and there are amazing GOTY quality games coming out on both systems before the end of the year. If this was done in December or January like it should of had (August? WTF) Halo 3 would not be a nominee. The list would instead probably be MGS4, LBP, Gears 2, Resistance 2, and GTA4 or C...
Not saying one console is better than the other or anything, but this whole G-Phoria thing is flawed.
First, why the f*ck would you do this in August. Most specifically for this award and GOTY. How do you give out GOTY in August? And the voting on the favorite system may have been closer/different if this was done in December of January.
Second, don't let the fans vote. It never works. Halo 3 won GOTY? Really? Because of fanboys. And of course the 360 is going to...
Do they mean how often you play games online or are just generally logged in? If it is the first, I think that is unfair because I have been finishing up quite a few offline only games so I haven't played games online a whole bunch, but I am logged in to the PSN almost every day for hours.
It does look very 'meh'.
What I meant was:
360 lead = Better on 360 because the cell doesn't read code ported from the 360 well.
PS3 lead = Both are identical quality because the 360 can read the code from the PS3 well.
PS3 1st party game or exclusive = (Usually) able to harness the full power of the PS3 and is generally better than multiplats.
How about we all laugh disrespect you when you die, or get murdered. I know I will because you little sh*ts deserve it. GTFO if you are going to post that sh*t here.
Anyways, that is really sad. Hope her family comes through it okay.
Because the architectures are different. Games that used the 360 as the lead just do not port well to the cell, while probably almost anything can run the the 360. So games made with the PS3 as the lead will be almost identical on both consoles. While games ported from the 360 may not be as good, you can see the true power of the PS3 on first party games or multiplats where the PS3 is the lead or both versions are built from the ground up.
PC gaming has been dead to me since I realized how much money I would have to spend and how often to stay up to date. I'd much rather spend $500 on a console every 5 or so years than $500 every year. Consoles also have a bonus of being guaranteed to work. There are so many variables with PC setups that there will always be problems with somebody's setup. Too much hassle.
Plus, all the games I enjoy playing currently are available on consoles. I still use my PC for playing games...
