I don't think MS would be stupid to put any money into this because you are absolutely right. Anyone who wanted MGS4 probably already bought a PS3. It is too late in the game to be announcing it now.
If MS was going to do this, they would have announced that it was coming to the 360 long ago... so people wouldn't have to spend $400 on a console just to play 1 game.
Just because it is stupid for MS to throw money at it, doesn't mean that Konami doesn't want more money...
If your a fan of a game, you'll play it on any system. You don't have to buy a specific brand console JUST because your a fan of 1 game.
Thats like saying Sonic games are fun... and I will only play them on a sega machine. Well if your a true Sonic fan, you'll do what it takes to play it. The console shouldn't matter to you.
Plus why would any person with a little bit of common sense buy a $400 console to play a 1 game for a week.
Final Fantasy games are one of the game franchises in gaming history. There is a reason why they're on #13, plus all of the growing spinoffs.
FFV13 won't be any different on any other console. It won't be downgraded. They simply said they would be releasing it in Japan first (like they always do). All of the hard work is already done. The graphics; the story line; the finishing touches. It has already been said that converting a PS3 game to a 360 game is easier then vice versa. ...
Sure you can do a lot of things streaming through to a Vista machine but that doesn't make any difference with the netflix alliance.
The point of the new Netflix support is to have it directly on your 360 console and cycle through movies in your que. All you need is a netflix subscription. Who cares if you can hack it and slash it to work in some other, more complicated major.
Plus why stream a stream?
The Netflix support is to allow movies to be delive...
At first I wasn't really digging the new layout much. The existing method works great.
But after seeing the video and some of the newer themes I'm really starting to get into it.
It has most of a "Windows Media Center" feel to it... and why shouldn't it. The Xbox 360 is a perfect example of a Windows Media Center box. It does everything.
You can easily replace all your set top boxes with a single 360 console, with the exception of my surround ...
This guy doesn't know what he's talking about.
I'm not saying MGS4 will eventually come to the 360, but whether it does or not will have NOTHING to do with the fact that the PS3 version is on Blueray discs.
The discs are just a medium. Thats like putting a game on DVD vs CD. This guy uses the excuse that because it was originally on a BR-Disc that it can now no longer be played on any other medium. Well thats obviously false.
There is no reason this game...
I don't know why that article doesn't mention more about them.
Gears 2 and Fable 2 are two big ones, along with Too Human and the new Banjo game.
Seems like a rushed article.
Because there are so many HDD-less Arcade 360's out there. Optional installs would be ok I guess... but at the same time games don't really suffer from long loading times either...
I think if they were gonna have optional loading times, they would have done by now.
The last Wolfenstein was a great game. It was one of the few single player games I actually played through. Very tough.
You say the 360 comes with nothing. Well it comes with Live which is the most important feature. It also includes tons of things the other consoles don't. Xbox Live is free to all 360 consoles... you only have to pay an annual subscription for the Gold Service.
MS doesn't include WiFi because gaming on WiFi is retarded. You can't be a hardcore gamer and play on a WiFi connection. WiFi's latency kills gaming ping times. Introducing WiFi would create chaos to the current 360 gaming...
We all knew this price drop was coming. I mean, what should MS do?... continue to sell the 20gb model for $350 then just randomly swap out to a 60 model? No. They'll lower the price on the 20gb model so when the 60gb comes out for $50 more... those who bought the 20gb model won't be upset for having to have paid the same amount for a lesser unit. The 20gb = $300 and 60gb = $350. Seems fair.
And plus who cares. The 360 is the 360. Anyone that was looking to buy one will now save s...
Now you know where 360 owners were coming from. We've been called Achievement whores from day 1 simply because we found it entertaining to get them.
I don't exactly hunt down achievements but they do add lots of replay value
The article is dumb.
"PSN is largely mute, as not many of games support voice chat, and of those that do very few people actually participate."
<sarcasm>+1 for PSN</sarcasm>
Everyone with a 360 can voice chat right out of the box. That plus the fact that there is a bigger install base of 360's out there. Of course you're gonna get more of a variety of gamers with a larger install base. THAT PLUS the fact that EVERY game supports voi...
Its normal for new IP's to slip through the cracks... but not with a game that has a HUGE backing like Metal Gear series... it didn't fall through the cracks. Everyone knows about Metal Gear 4. So sales are what they are. You can't blame any other outside aspect. It is what it is.
This is the same about Halo. Everyone knew Halo games.
If Halo 3 can obtain the insanely high sales numbers that still follow it to this day... MGS4 could have did the same thing.

If you read the article is it talking about the movie. The surprise is the added content for the movie, hence Advent Children COMPLETE.
It doesn't talk about a game or remake of a game no where.
Waste of space.
The whole point of playing games and having Avatars is so you don't have to smash your ugly grill all over the place.
Its bad enough you have to listen to retards, let alone see them.
Plus who wants some stupid video taking a 1/4th of their screen while trying to play a game?
I dunno, video chat is ok but no in game.
The first gears had lots of revolutionary gameplay and it had a story. The only downfall was the single player game was short. The multiplayer more then made up for it.
If I had to compare the story lines to any other game, I would say it feels like Half Life.
The gameplay is unlike any other. It has sort of a futuristic Unreal feel... but it has lots of mechanics that put it in its own category.
Gears 2 will be an instant classic and will be a nominee f...
I think GTA4 was over hyped. I mean fans know that GTA games are good buys because the games are typically long and have great replay value. But I don't think GTA4 has done anything really ground breaking.
Smash Brothers... eh. That game sucked actually. The single player gameplay was horrible and "thrown" together and multiplayer was horribly laggy and almost unplayable at times. I owned my copy for a few weeks before trading it in.
I haven't played MGS4 b...
360Mote - IR Pointer = garbage.
Without the IR sensor the controller is nothing more then an advanced Six-Axis.
I don't think it will be a huge success. Plus without IR functionality wouldn't that kill any new "3D menu system"?
VCD vs DVD is different. Movies are fluid and having to stop to swap a VCD disc sucks.
The difference is movies are meant to be watched in 1 sitting. Games aren't. Games have various ups and downs where simply swapping a disc isn't problematic. Plus there is the ability to copy the game disc to the HDD to avoid disc swapping if your that lazy.
Lost Odyssey is 4 discs. Typically once I finish a disc I end for the day anyway and next time I start with a new disc. Not t...
