SMW is the winner IMO. Yoshis Island is a blast but that crying baby was annoying af. The FX stuff is neat but SMW had their own stuff going on. I don't consider YI to be a sequel at all. The two have nothing in common really, gameplay wise. Yoshis Island is its own game
You can turn that off so it won't keep making you login. Once you login, check the store settings. It will have you log in again to confirm but then you won't have to log in ever again.
They are still available to buy on Steams site.
At this point in the game, Ninendo should already have their full NES, SNES, and N64 games up and available for purchase for $1, $2, and $3 for games. They are so old and purchased so many times, they should stop being greedy bitches and simply have them up for a buck or two.
In fact all systems should have an online retro library accessible to gamers. Major reason why I do not feel bad emulating.
Exactly. Knowing how databases work, the name used to be the identifier but now it is not. With that said, some 3rd party games may need to be updated.
I think this may be more of a "could" happen than a will happen. It's just fine print to cover their asses. We'll see.
Nope. Why tf is this not rechargeable? Pass on this, sadly.
Nah. The portability is what makes it popular. The switch itslf looks goofy without controllers attached. Plus the point that 2 controllers are bundled IN THE BOX really ramps up local multiplayer games.
Plus the included controller dock works great as a "Pro" controller. So much that I would consider it a waste of money to buy a pro controller, just to use.
Watching this video on my 6" screen phone, they all look the same except the switch version has more background blur during the 1on1 fights, which I actually like more.
You don't need super high quality on a small screen. Plus the super fast motion of Doom, you rarely have time to count pixels.
Kinda funny they kept the dual cameras which was used for 3D?
I thought the DS line was getting scrapped at the end of the year to make way for the Switch. I love my 2DS. I do miss the clamshell.
This game is a blast. My son and I are playing it on PS4 and it is a pretty tough game. Some of the challenges seem impossible but obtainable with some practice.
My son laughs at me when I am sitting there growling because I died 30 times within 10min trying to so a seemingly simple challenge.
I want to buy a switch but there are no good games coming out. Mario looks wierd. Everything else is regurgitated crap. Shovelknight is the best game on that list and I already own it. Xenoblade looks good too
This is stupid. The tweet was for "as early as Wednesday" but all the stores got their shipments in tuesday and were sold out within an hour. I am a little ticked off because I was waiting for WEDNESDAY before I started calling around. I didn't want to make it super obvious to the world since it was a just a tweet and not publically announced anywhere.
Kinda butt hurt.
The Tegra 4 chip thats in the switch has been out for a few years. Android and even the Ouya (Tegra 3) had some pretty hefty games on it.
So I doubt they are far heavier than a cell phone because thats basically what the switch is.
No he is right. The switch uses the Tegra chipset which is a few years old. I think most newer phones are probably faster now.
The Tegra chip was also out back before fast charging and does not support it, sadly. Even on mobile phones, gaming 100% of the time, you're lucky to get 4 hours of Screen On Time.
Yi is right that the Switch is basically a mobile phone with detatchable joysticks.
I feel this is stupid. The DS line is their more popular consoles. I have a 2DS and it is a fantastic buy for $79 with Mario Kart 7.
What I like about the 2DS is that it is solid. I am concerned the JoyCon pads will snap off the Switch and break. I don't like removable parts because they wear down and are addional fail points.
I just think they are prematurely killing a successful product so they can increase sales of their new hybrid.
30Ft is the max bluetooth range. At that range, you will have serious loss in connectivity. Even my PS3/4 controllers get wonky at about 8-12 feet. The WiiU controller is also sending video as well as control data.
And to condense and make a comment about this, it sounds more and more like a gaming tablet with video streaming service
Most games have resolutions that are sub-720P.
They may output at an upscaled version that allows the TV to think its 4K content, but I seriously doubt any game will run at a native 4K resolution. Some of the powerful PCs struggle to do 4K at 30fps, let alone 60.
The Tegra 2 is very old school. The Ouya ran on a Tegra 3. The Shield runs on the Tegra K1. Unless you meant "Tegra K2".
I think it looks great and the coop would be awesome. Hopefully it isn't a cash grab game with paywalls and some sort of horrible, gimmicky controls (already worse than being on a mobile). I'm in the middle of SOTN on my PSX Classic and tight controls is what makes these games.
