Each final fantasy is separate from another final fantasy.

So your comment is retarded. Final Fantasy games aren't linked together in any way aside from always having a character named Cid.

Advent children could only be appreciated by lovers of the FF7 game. Without playing or really knowing the game, you can't watch the movie and expect to understand any of it.

I enjoyed both movies, but Spirit Within was created as a lone movie that required no background knowledge.

Yea Silent Hill was a neat movie too.

That plus the experience is off.

In games you spend time on your characters and care for them. You become more emotionally attached then just some random person in a movie.

Also it is the environment. Walking through a dreary house knowing something is gonna jump out at you creates a more intense sensation then watching a movie saying, "Don't open that door stupid the killer is back there".

Plus games don't need as big of a story to be fun or ...

Hudson makes tons of sweet games. If you haven't picked up from the graphic, they make Bomberman and the Mario Party series, which are pretty big sellers.

They've been around since the 70's.

HD-DVD and Blueray describe disc formats mainly for movie discs.

In gaming the only benefit is the extra space on the disc. Changing the disc once or twice isn't that complicated. Unless your in a vegetated state and unable to change the discs yourself... I hardly believe this is a problem.

If you honestly get to the end of disc 1 and think to yourself, "man I am just to lazy to swap discs and continue" then you have a serious problem.

Besides ...

The PS3 is the best Blueray player. I'm a 360 owner and I can say that. There are some BR players that are cheaper... but don't have all the latest BR features that the PS3 has.

Plus the PS3 has more bang for its buck. Even if you simply purchased the PS3 to play movies, you can also surf the web, listen to music, view pictures, etc it would be worth buying over a standard blueray player.

I don't think DVD's had any other competition when they came out.

I'm not saying the PS2 didn't help speed things along, but lots of people already had DVD players in their homes before the PS2. DVD's started to appear around the PS1 era. I remember watching "Half Baked" on my 4x DVD player in my computer around the same time Mario Kart for N64 came out.

Sony didn't take a chance with DVD's... they were already mainstream.

Including Blueray in ...

Well if Microsoft included HD-DVD in the 360, the PS3 would have been obsolete before it came out.

Microsoft played it smart. The 360 came out at the start of the format war and when costs were still too high. With the focus on digital downloads, the need of a HD player was minor anyway (aside from disc space).

The PS3 is what swayed the format war ONLY because it was selling as a PS3. HD-DVD players were outselling Blueray players... but HD players couldn't compete...

Super Sweet. I just downloaded the free Heroic map pack and bought the Legendary map pack... and now there's another free one.

Nice. Tons of new maps to play.

Without user content it isn't a UT game.

Greedy bastards.

At least my buying decision will be easy since there is no user supported content. I guess it's off to the torrents for me.

Just get a new one. Simple. I can't wait until my 360 warranty is almost up in a few years so I can exchange my 3yr old console for another one.

All new products introduce a learning curve. Why do you think the Wii comes bundled with Wii Sports. You know Nintendo would sell Wii Sports separately if they could, but they needed something to allow you to learn the Wiimote on.

Same case here. I hope they include a slew of demo's that allow use of the technology so gamers can instantly enjoy the new controls. I'm hoping they played their cards right and allow this new control scheme to be backward compatible with existing game...

That's hilarious.

On the down side... I remember watching Minority report and while it looked cool... I do remember Tom Cruise requiring a dedicated room in which he flung his hands around like a spider monkey.

I don't know if I want to do this, just to change to a different page on my 360, when a simple tap of a button does the same thing.

I imagine if Tom Cruised used a 360 joystick to navigate his future machine it wouldn't have been as dramatic nor...

The video says Hardware Accelerated, but I'm wondering how they accomplish that within a browser. Hmmm. Great news.

There are already lots of games that allow user created content directly on the consoles themselves. Super Smash Brothers Brawl and Halo 3 come to mind off the top of my head.

Allowing user created content keeps the game fresh, even if the developers are lacking.

This has been most common on PC's such as Half-Life, Unreal Tournament and the Quake series.

You can easily stream music via Winamp server (free download) as well as Windows Media Center software. There are lots of ways to go about getting content on the 360.

And another thing, I said this in the other 360 60gb HDD topic... is that I think the only reason why MS is swapping for a bigger drive is primarily have to do with cost. Everyone knows that ancient hardware gets more expensive as it becomes antique. I bet the 20gb drives were a pretty penny compared to the more com...

I don't know how Sony would regulate the Trophies when its the developers who create the games. Achievements on the 360 usually aren't easy to come by either (quite the opposite)... but ultimately it is up to the developer to decide how hard/easy it is to get them.

You can tell a big difference in achievements by the company who made it. Some companies throw them in there after ever chapter while others put objects in various hard to reach places or after an insane amount of acti...
