I dunno. With the PS3 sales aside, I always figured HD would win just because of the "HD" in the title.
I agree about the format war is stupid, which is why I haven't bought a High def player yet. Upscaling seems to be my best option now using my 360 because it costs me nothing.
Sony using blueray was a smart move. I just hope they can get the drives speed up so that read times aren't so horrible.

[RANT]Come on. God, half you guys are lame. This is word on Microsofts NEXT GEN CONSOLE, not a new sku. Every company is already working on their next gen console. I'm sure even the super duper ultimate Sony has a team working on the PS4, Nintendo is working on the Wii 2 ( Wii ii?).

Its about time. I HATED the wire between the Wiimote and the Nunchuck, especially if you used the wrist strap because you were "tied" to your controller and couldn't easily put it down/pick it up.
I just hope that they match the original plastic better so it matches and have an option to use a wrist strap on the nunchuck as well (because you flick the nunchuck as well).

Never Playing a previous Metal Slug game (aside from the crippled mobile version) the demo was a lot of fun. Definately always fresh and full of action. I do believe this is an 8 BUT not on the same scale of regular games.

I've seen this at many stores. When I bought my Elite, I bought CoD4 with it, but spent the whole 2 days just playing demos and arcade games (figures). The next day I saw a Circuit City ad that had it for $39. I called and they were completely sold out, but luckily Walmart pricematches and I got it there. I then traded in my original CoD4 for Halo 3.

Achievements are awesome... especially in Arcade games. Just like playing old school Super Mario Bros. where I would go to school and brag about having 99 lives and a huge massive score. They show that you went the extra mile and got rewarded.

LMAO at article. Obviously this guy doesn't own a 360. I just got off LIVE and its fine, aside from MSN (who cares anyway). I just got done playing hours of Halo3 online with no problems. I also downloaded a few demos.

The day after Christmas, I was out working and stopped in a Walmart and Best Buy. It sure didn't seem like there was a shortage then. I saw like 5-6 people at each store with them in their carts. Thats something you couldn't do before Christmas.

A waste of a post. I want to know why it went gold. Don't games go "Gold" after they sell 4 million copies or something? Why differentiates one game from another? I didn't see Mario Galaxy go "Gold". Are they saying SSBB will sell more then Galaxy?
You can blame it on Plasma TVs and cheap LCD's.
The reason? Refresh rate. Cheap LCD's can have up to a 25ms or higher refresh rate, killing any type of reaction in game. A good LCD TV or monitor will be 8ms or less.
Plasma TV's are bad for gaming by nature because it takes the plasma time to change colors so they have a bad refresh rate as well.
This is just basic HDTV stuff. I know because my mom has a Plasma and playing Guitar Hero 3 on my sister...
