I power mine completely down at night. I have a dual WiiMote charger.. that lights up blue as well... talk about crazy blue going on.
Having the Charger have tons of running blue LED's when not being used is a horrible design flaw.
You can simply turn off the LED on the Wii through settings.
The PS3 ONLY has 256mb memory. It also has a graphics card with 256mb memory. You can't combine the two and say, the PS3 has 512mb. Thats ridiculous.
Thats like saying my PC has 1gb RAM and a 756mb RAM Graphics card = 1.756Gb.

The 360 is shared memory, so its graphics card can have full access to the memory during gameplay. The OS can also have full access to all 512mb when in menu's, upconvert...

Native to linux just means it was written specifically for linux and doesn't use any type of Windows Wrapper (wine) to run.
Using WINE you can pretty much run any game or app with very little frame per second difference. I use ubuntu and WINE is truely amazing. With WINE installed, there is NO reason anyone can't easily switch to linux.

I love my Wii. Playing Quake via the Homebrew channel using the nunchuck and wiimote is awesome. I wish Nintendo would have more FPS games like that. It not only runs great but the motion controls feel great.
With MS, the control scheme is there. Simply replace the joystick inputs with the motion sensing of the Newton and you magically create a totally new experie...
Just like Final Fantasy games, you kinda grow your own imagination of the character. Each having their own personallity that you base off your own opinion.
Its sorta like listening to a good song, imagining the scenes happening as the song progresses... then seeing the stupid video that forever taunts your thoughts when you hear it again.
Sometimes voice acting can ruin a game. Most of the time the lips and voice aren't synced up... so it looks like crap anyway....

I'm not really "excited" about this news... but the more things to do the better. Whats a game console that doesn't find various ways to keep you amused. Even if Xboxes shipped with a hoola-hoop... thats one more thing I didn't have before.
I own a Wii... and the Mii Channel is kinda stupid, but the ability to use your characters in games is a sweet feature. I love playing online against my friends whilst using our Mii'...
I already have Super Mario RPG on my Wii. Its called homebrew. You can make just about any ROM into a VC game by simply injecting it into a channel.
Mario RPG, Mario All Stars + Super Mario World, Chrono Trigger, PilotWings, Smash Brothers 64, etc.
yea sony has their own card. Pretty neat too. You get $100 back when purchasing a PS3. That coupled with the $100 Walmart GC this week, I bought the MGS4 bundle for $299. Can't beat that.

Actually your not supposed to get a $100 GC from Walmart for buying a PS3. When I bought the 80gb MGS4 PS3 bundle last night at midnight, they fought real hard not to give it to us. They even had a memo that stated the MGS4 Bundle was excluded. To to each their own.
It is a good deal if you can get one.
So MS can force those people who want to play those games to buy a 360.
Any good game from Nintendo is welcome. Looking at their release schedule I can't find anything I'm willing to drop my hard earned cash on.
The game isn't in 1080p... it just supports it. TV's are like monitors, just because your monitor supports 1600x1200 doesn't mean games all run at that resolution.
PC gaming is never going to die. The consoles this gen aren't that old. PC technology has already surpassed the power of a console. Give it a year or two and while consoles are still playing the same games... PC's would have already evolved.
Then after several more years, you can buy another mid-quality PC to game on (aka next "gen" console).
Consoles are always a step or 3 behind PC's.
I agree. Role Playing Games is a genre of gaming. It doesn't have to appeal to a specific region to be successful. Just because Japanese only support Japanese based companies doesn't mean they can't make RPG and JRPG's.
The only reason MS is releasing so many RPG's this year is because they lack them. I love RPG's and the 360 is where its at.
The 360 has what you need. Both have HDMI connections. Both make games that run in TRUE HD (true hd = 720). Bluetooth bla. Bluetooth is really only used for wireless headsets, maybe mouse/keyboard.... And Wireless is useless for a true gamer because of its naturally high latency.
The things I give props to the PS3 for is the ability to use 3rd party devices like Touch Pads, Printers, etc. And also the ability to have swappable hard drives.

I agree. The rumors are worn out. Here's 2 reasons why MS won't support blueray.
1. Because all the trash talk MS said about BR. Crossing over now would make MS have to put their foot in their mouth.
2. Blueray completely destroys their efforts to transfer Downloadable Content. Microsoft's goal is to have a console in every living room as a set top box for "TV over IP". I heard they are even in cohoots with cable providers to replace the typical cable box w...
