you guys are killing me. They already stated there was no lack of content. All they are stating is that they are organizing their maps.
Big deal.
Would you want to have a bunch of smaller levels that require tons of load times... or 1 big map and call it a day?
I think I'd rather have 1 big map myself.
Why would you need a Live Starter kit, when most of that stuff comes bundled with the 360 unit. The Wired headset and ethernet cable aren't needed unless the Arcades don't come with them either.
But if your looking to pick up a 360, your best bet is an Elite since you get the HDD, headset, HDMI cable, Wireless controller, and 2 free games ($100 value).
The Elite isn't a rip off. Your simply an idiot who doesn't know what he's talking about.
Sure the Arcade = $200, 120gb HDD = $150.
To an idiot, that looks like a good deal compared to the Elite.
BUT in reality it's not. The Arcade lacks several components that the Elite packages. The Arcade comes with a Wired controller and no games. The Elite comes with 2 free games, Wireless Controller, HDMI cable, etc.
Typically stores like Walmart will...
Live isn't $1 a day... no way. Its about $50 a year and thats the expensive price. If you look online you can find Live for $30 or less.
Regardless, Live isn't more then a few bucks a month. Your spending $50 a year not $365 ($1 a day). Big difference.
When I purchased my Live subscription I only paid $29 for it, which is like $2.41 a month... or 7 cents a day.
Big deal. We're gamers. We spend thousands of dollars to play the latest and greatest games. I...
I remember when Sony fanboys thought achievements were stupid and pointless. Now they won't buy games without them.
Achievements/Trophies can really push an already great game over the top.
The Forced Unleashed looks awesome. I haven't played a Star Wars game since N64... but the videos look amazing. Having such amazing force power was something every fan could dream about having in a game.
Late 2009 is WAY off. They need some sort of storage option soon.
I'm sure they'll either do 1 of 2 things:
Open the SD card so you can game directly off it
OR
Have a USB 2.5" External Laptop Harddrive
I'd take the HDD... but with the Wii being small and sleek... I dunno. Maybe it will support those 32gb SD cards. That'd be enough.
I bought my Elite and it came bundled with 2 games. It was the Christmas bundle... but I thought all Xboxes came bundled with games?!
Just turn off the voice chat audio. You can switch the voice chat to either play through your TV speakers (headset free), to play through your headset, or none at all.
If you don't like high pitched kids laughing at you cause you suck, then turn if off.
You can't honestly say that the lack of voice chatters on PSN is a benefit. The 360 comes with a wired headset out of the box, so EVERYONE can chat instantly. Plus with the bigger install base, its no wonder why ther...
I'm suing McDonalds for making Hamburgers and causing me to get fat!
You could simply play them on your 360.
how can you clam that the PS3 version will be superior to the 360 version when they haven't even been released yet?
The only only difference the game will have will be the physical medium you buy it on. By the time the game even launches for consoles, the 360 will already have an option to run disc-less games... for those lazy enough to b!tch about swapping discs.
I doubt the game play will differ at all. Plus most of your "PS3 advantages" aren't true eith...
Won't we do like the chinese and make them work 12 hour days of free labor. That'll keep them busy and entertained. Everyone else has to work to support them... why not make them work so they can support themselves?
And if you want to avoid risking getting raped or murdered, how about you don't commit a crime to land you there.
This is them wanting more of your money. They see you buy a game, play it, and sell it to someone else. They don't get paid for the second transaction.
How about you get your hands out of my pocket and make games. Developers already get their money from the first game. I don't know what entitles them to think they should get paid for every owner of a single copy.
Sheesh. For every human born, there's 5 more to take his money.
Here's a solution: Make a ...
To play retail games, you have to have your Wii's DVD player chipped so it will read regular DVD discs.
Although you can download and play all the VC and WiiWare games right out of the box. You can even create VC games from your old ROM collection if you feel creative.
You can also run Homebrew on it, which includes multiple games and apps including Quake and a WhiteBoard drawing app.
I think they need to remake Mario Paint using the WiiMote.
I bought my 360 on December 4th 2007... it was one of the newer model Elites. I've never owned a 360 previously to compare... but the system is quiet. I travel to lots of major cities for work, lasting a week or more. I take my 360 with me all over. It's a champ.
I watch lots of movies from my DVD collection (cause it upconverts) and I never hear it spin up or become audible.
Don't all games have free demo's on PSN?
I only have live, but there are demo's for just about every game. I'm not knocking, I'm just asking.
I think a better way of having a downloadable game would be to have the first chapter also include a downloader... that way you can download the first chapter and download additional chapters within the game itself. This way you don't have to continuously keep going back to the PSN Store.
I think more games should...
True... but most games designed for Microsoft Windows can be run in a WINE environment with little to no loss.
I installed Half Life 2 on my windows machine... and can play THAT SAME INSTALL by booting Ubuntu and playing. I have a Geforce 7600GT and a 1440x900 resolution widescreen monitor. I was getting 96fps in Windows and 89fps in Ubuntu.
So actually PC gamers don't have to support MS.
I played the game today thinking it was going to be stupid like DMC4 or NG2... but it wasn't at all. I enjoyed collecting new swords, guns, and armor... and adding runes to make them more powerful. I also liked jumping on the back of those big machines and giving them a deadly whack to the head.
The game was superb and left me wanting more. I wasted almost 2 hours playing around in the demo just going through 1 play through. I found all the secrets and items. I just got a sweet s...
I finally downloaded the demo today... and man was it sweet. This one really caught me by surprise. Initially from the trailers it looked awesome. Then I saw gameplay videos and lost interest. THEN I played the demo and boy oh boy was it awesome.
The gameplay videos made it out to be another Ninja Gaiden or DMC4... but its not. It has a really cool feel too it... kinda like the movie "Chronicles of Riddick".
The game is awesome. I'm gonna try some other pl...
I own a 360 and here is my way of seeing things.
With LIVE service, I feel that the extra abilities are worth the minuscule amount I pay a year. I usually get my 13month subscription for like $25-$30 bucks. I feel that it is money well spent for the benefits I receive.
Now would I'd rather get that same service for free? No doubt.
Either Microsoft has to come off and lower their service, or Sony will get PSN to a point where they feel they can charge ...
