I just hope they wise up and give us a normal controller for a change.
I just really hate how everyone is using "4K gaming" when it is not really 4K at all. 4K is a resolution. Most games are still running under native 720P resolution on consoles. They are already getting upscaled to 1080P... stretching that further is going to look like shit.
Or VentureBeat is sourcing this guy and a "confirmed" source.
The video nailed it. These consoles aren't strong enough for 4K gaming. Maybe upscaled or output 4K signal but not real 4K resolution. I doubt even the Xbox Scorpio will. 4K gaming is not even common on PCs and a good graphics card (that is many times better than any console) also costs about the same or more than the entire console itself. Like they said the Nvidia 980 was last years big boy graphics card and it struggles. The Nvidia 1080 card, this year, probably is better but still not...
The redesigned PS4 showed up on an auction. No official word has been given. It would make sense since the xbox slim was announced.
....said every xbox fan ever.
In fact NMS is a brilliant game. They could easily add in an attacking force and spawns similar to destiny. Destiny in itself is awesome and this adds to it.
Right now the game sounds kinda bla but only because it is so vast and no one really knows what to do. There is no denying the utter breakthroughs this game brings into the gaming world. Minecraft was stupid at first, but its never ending worlds was a breakthrough.

Supposedly 2 guys did find each other using Username lookup on the planets name where they met up and could not see each other.
They could easily fix that. They should also give players a choice to either start at a starting galaxy or a random one.
I am pretty excited about the game myself. I think I want to buy it for the PC after a few updates.
There is no console that can output 4k. I think the most powerful PCs would struggle with 4K resolution. Plus most TVs are 1080P. Current content struggles at 1080P. 1080P on a 1080P screen will look great. Upscaling to 4K will not magically make the actual game develop more pixels or added bonus. It relies on edge blurring and pixel doubling.
More is not always better. It is like mobile screen tech and DPI. DPI is so high that it far exceeds what the human eye can pick up...
Emulators are legal but there is other issues at play here such as competition and stuff. Home consoles are a gray area.
The problem is those are cellular platforms for a large range of devices. Xbox is a home console that Nintendo WILL have a problem with. Even Microsoft will not want this on their home consoles.
Ecosystem lol
I agree here. The PS4 really isn't that better over the PS3. Games still run in lower res. Graphics seem slightly better but who cares, they dont look that different unless you side-by-side compare.
Making a 30-40% more powerful console mid term only alienates users who are already invested. The original console will always be the bottleneck as game developers need to encompass all PS4 specs. Least it would do is give a slightly better bump but doubt it. They are probabl...
This is unlikely. However PS4 and Xbone aren't really powerhouses as far as specs go. Just because mobiles will have the ability to display graphics that compare or exceed, no one said you would have full 80hour games. Plus lots of disc space is redundant sources to speed up load times. Mobile space is a smaller space. Smaller games with high graphics.
Battery tech will still suck unless there is a power breakthrough (unlikely). Smaller boards = more internal space for b...
I always play as a chick if I have the option. Yeah I am a dude, but I figure if I am going to be staring at the backside of a character for hours and hours, I want it to be to sexy. My Destiny Hunter is dead sexah
I can understand this to a point. When my parents spent bought my Sega Saturn for $800 (or whatever the absurd release price was), they returned several because of color, artifacts, loudness, etc.
While this is different, I can see some things. If you spend $400+ dollars on something, it should be perfect. While these "excuses" are probably not legit, he could be attemtping to hack or mod his console and exchanging for reasons stores accept. If he says the processor...
Yea we all know memory is faster than optical, BUT also more expensive. 64gb memory cards are still about $30. Im sure they can get them wholesale cheaper but still more expensive than a disc. So unless they want to charge MORE per game, otherwise it isnt the best option.
Price aside, I am all for it.
It is not backwards compatible. This is a Shop to make more money. Like a WiiShop. Thats nothing but emulators too. They want to sell you games you already own. Backwards compatibility means "compatible", not emulated, as in plays natively.
I am sick of paying for the same game over and over and over. You know how many times I bought Mario, Zelda, and Final Fantasy titles?
Fortunately I skipped a PS2, but consoles should improve upon their foundat...
Because these are emulators. The PS4 isn't powerful enough to emulate a PS3.
It sounds like the cable was shorted. I explained it above. 500mAh is all you get from any USB unless the data pairs communicate to send more. If the data pairs were shorted out, it would push more than the battery could handle. Any small device would have blew up. This is common, especially associated with cheap chinese cables and adapters.
Exactly. 4K crap is just a marketing ploy. I do have a 4K 65" TV but everything is barely 1080P and unless you have a stellar internet connection, you're not streaming anything in 4K without stuttering and rebuffering. Plus other boxes such as the Roku will always do a better job with more channels and content.
Game consoles are bought for games. I really hope they do this right, but I have a feeling they won't. Nintendo can't make a traditional console th...
