I agree, but the same people plague the real world too. Just try working at a hotel or resort for a busy summer. You'll meet the worst kind of people in the world. Many even worse than the dreaded keyboard warrior.
If a game makes someone's top 50 games list and they have played hundreds of games it's pretty safe to assume a lot of those games are as close as you can get to perfection. Even games like MGS4 that had noticeable issues still raked in perfect scores and I would have to agree with those scores.
I would say that Media Molecule and Santa Monica have a chance as well. Also Xenoblade and Gears on the other systems. I don't see Halo pulling it off. The series has really dwindled critically post-Halo 3.
Nvm I'm talking about februrary. Man ps plus has been on a roll. Counterspy ended up being surprisingly sweet. Haven't been that into oddworld but I need to put more time into it.
And transistor. They were all the same month and all playable on ps4.
Exactly. PS3 has had better months than the 360 month coming up despite it being a special double month.
And PS4 had infamous as a retail game before x1 had rayman.
I would like a new animal crossing. No DS stuff! I swear they give too many IPs to their handheld. They need to find a balance.
It's true. Bethesda games always have issues with loading and frame rate among countless other bugs. Yet they are guaranteed scores between 9.5 and 10.
Apparently this reviewer noticed the frame rate slow down more than most people, so I feel like that's why the score is a bit lower than expected. I'm glad the loading times are getting fixed. Pretty much solves one of the games few minor problems.
Ads are barely a thing. There might be more than last gen, which had almost nothing, but there's nothing intrusive and nothing is unrelated to what I might actually buy. That and I only really see them on the store and the newsfeed sections, as expected.
Didn't disagree with you, but I've been rocking stereo audio since it overtook mono. I consider myself a bit of a sound/music snob, but I can live with 2 channel audio for a game.
And reviews that undercut even the 6 mark are just being blatantly offensive to the game and its developers. A 5 is basically a game that you would never buy or play and everything under that is either broken or trash. I have seen a lot of mediocre and even kind of bad games get 8s. To give a game that raises the graphical bar while giving TPS action on par with the best of them (and offers something entirely new and fresh in terms of story and atmosphere) below a 5 is just illogical. The lin...
Fair scores are fair. Still seems worthy of a pick-up once the price is right. My problem has always been it doesn't feel like enough bang for your buck. If I bought KZ2 full price (which I did) and it came with no multiplayer, my opinion of that game would probably scale down from a 9.5 to a 7.5. This game for $30 though. I'd call it a deal.
Nice. I'm going to keep waiting until at least 4 episodes are out before I dig into it though. I can't stand playing games overly broken up and having to wait months for the next one. Especially if I'm into it. I'm the same with shows too.
@nikrel
You're not alone. I'm usually pretty anti-people too. It really can't be helped with the dwindling standards of intelligence combined with pervasive self-entitlement and egotism.
Classic. Was waiting for this. It's kind of become a ritual now. Not that I've ever seen these problems occur in real life. I guess we also have to consider that there are consoles naturally failing every day, so there's that.
I prefer to blame work for everything.
"the exceptions"
Huh...imo they are making games at a whole other level. The lesser exclusives we see from the likes of Sucker Punch, Insomniac, House Marque, Evolution, etc. are just as good as heavy-hitters on other platforms. Like I would easily play Motorstorm before Forza 2 or Infamous before Crackdown or most of the exclusive JRPGs over Fable (that series has under-delivered since its inception). Oh and Heavy Rain over Alan Wake (screw fighting that same guy r...
Well there's also the nearly 2:1 discrepancy in the user-bases. It makes sense for people to prefer third-party on the PS4 as far as technical performance and the vastly improved dualshock go. I think if there were as many X1s floating around though we would see more third-party sales there in terms of shooters and perhaps even WRPGs. PS is more global and tends to offer more exclusives and games in general so the sales have a spread like a blitz cannon.
Haven't seen anything yet to feel the same way. And the gameplay from ground zeroes was honestly half as enjoyable as MGS4. Hopefully the real game proves me wrong though.
Yeah its more of an action RPG. Even the fighting genre more aptly suits this series compared to hack 'n slash.
