There's the getting it done right factor and then there's the getting it done factor.

I feel like I hear about an awesome adaptation idea a few times a year, but none of these ideas ever come to fruition for some reason. I've been hyped about an Uncharted movie for what has felt like half a decade. I'm probably exaggerating, but you get the picture...or lack thereof. Bad puns.

Dualshockers hyperbole. Sometimes it helps get hits; sometimes it doesn't. I suppose it's a good number for Japan considering the userbase though.

"Just Cause as a goat"

Sounds like something I could get behind.

Well in all honesty I think the 3DS will be due for a successor either next year or the following year. Probably 2 years since they just released the "new 3DS". Now I'm wondering if the Vita will get a follow-up or if Sony will play it safe with the PS4 and bank on its success before rejoining the handheld market later on.

That would be replacing the Wii U after 4 years. Seems pretty premature even if the Wii only lasted 6 and was successful. They still have to release some of their biggest IPs and they only now just started adding N64 games to the VC. I say 2017 is far more likely.

Could be too much city and not enough variety in the environment. I'm not an expert on New York though, so who knows. I wouldn't mind post-apocalyptic in a coastal region. Throw in some crappy boats. Could be a good time.

I'm in the same boat. Enjoyed Oblivion and Skyrim immensely more because they just felt like they had more depth and content. I did enjoy Fallout 3 though and it adds a twist on their tried and true formula. Mediocre FPS combat aside, some of the quests and perks are just awesome. I'm excited for a Fallout 4 because I know it can fix my gripes with the previous games (mainly just combat, animations, too much empty wasteland, too few enemy types, and the lack of armour options).

It wasn't good though. In fact it wasn't even made by them. I think that's the point being made.

Oh god I didn't even consider Skyrim remastered. The sad part is I would buy it. If this year is Fallout I don't expect an Elder Scrolls fix until maybe 2018.

It's strange though. Oblivion was 2006 and then Fallout 3 was 2008. That's 2 years. Then Skyrim was 2011. That's 3. It's been 4 years since their last big game. Does that mean they're breaking the bank developing a new Fallout or is it another TES game. Or were they working on a next-gen eng...

In that case it would be a day one buy for me. They should probably also add sidequests that aren't just hunts, NPCs that talk, more useful summons, a reasonable amount of FMVs, and an interesting villain while they're at it. Killing off the license boards also wouldn't be a complete loss.

Failure?

It is true. PS1 games are at the point where they would be kind of difficult to remaster. They almost have to be remade from scratch instead. PS2 games can just have smoothed edges and more detail added though.

I just finished the Wii version on Wii U. Not sure why anyone would want a remaster. It was by far the easiest and most boring Zelda I've played. Terrible, bland overworld and innovations that under-delivered (the wolf, the twilight realm, and the spinner). A remaster would mean better controls I guess, but the game still has no soul and I would never play it again remaster or not.

Such a great remaster. One of the best looking games I've ever played.

I would like a Skyward Sword remake personally. The game isn't even that old, but since it never became a Nintendo Select title, the only way to get it is on eBay or elsewhere online for like $80. Nintendo needs to stop limiting their prints. I played TP recently (it was okay... far worse than MM, OoT, WW, and LttP though) because it's easily accessible, but SS is basically a rarity now. I wouldn't mind playing it to see if it was better than TP or not. Twilight Princess not toile...

I agree re2_apocalypse.

White Knight Chronicles was comparatively subpar compared to their work on PS2. Ni No Kuni was great from an artistic standpoint, but a lot of the RPG elements were under-developed, the battle system was boring/repetitive, the sidequests were actually trash, and the game itself was way too easy by JRPG standards. So yes, it was kind of childish in many ways. It was amazing in terms of art style and atmosphere though. I also enjoyed the story despite ho...

Handheld systems are usually a one person system anyway, so it's not that outrageous. You can still swap physical titles and you can play any game assuming you're not concerned with trophies which aren't all that addictive after you've been getting them for a few years. It's not like iPods or Nintendos handhelds ever allowed for multiple users. They are more personal devices and not family devices like home consoles. I feel your pain, but I hold no grudge against Sony for ...

Same happened with the original monster hunter. It just happened to come West and probably didn't do that well sales-wise. They kept pushing the franchise and it really got into full swing with the PSP iterations in Japan. I would say from has the bigger Western fanbase. Although if monster hunter returned to PS and maybe went to Xbox too we would see a massive boost in its Western audience.
